The judge seemed more upset that the guy with history of domestic violence can now go free because the woman didn’t bother to show up. It must have been an easy home run for the judge to send the guy to prison. But now he walks free. Domestic violence is serious business.

    >blah blah blah, its not my fault.
    >im doing bad, pwz be nice.

    only 3 days LOL!

Anywho… both the judge and the “victim” were failures.

The judge obviously barely knew the case at all, could barely speak an opening… and then got all personal about it.

I’m going to have to say that the “victim” had second thoughts about putting a guy away in jail on bogus charges.
She was obviously lying when the “judge” asked if the it was fake; she had such a HUuuuuuuuuge delay.

Either that or she was a complete retard.

This woman should have shown up like she was asked to by the authorities instead of letting her feelings get the better of her.

Assuming the defendant actually was a repeated offender, this guy could have been booked immediately in the designated time with a full jury, a full court and an able system. But no, that’s not what she did. She wanted to just “drop the charges” and move on with her life, essentially being an accessory to the offender, letting him go out in the open longer to abuse more people. She KNEW there were consequences to this, and she didn’t listen. It doesn’t matter if you have a son that you need to take care of. It doesn’t matter that you’re homeless. It doesn’t matter that you’re jobless. It doesn’t matter that you’re suffering from “anxiety” or “depression”.

    Follow the f~~~ing law.

All solid points guys, but does this guy really have a history of violence or is it all bulls~~~? My point is, was this woman scared of facing the full court with jury because she would be cross examined and found out to commit perjury?

I don’t know, but either way this woman is stupid.

The judge stated that the guy had a prior conviction. So at least it wasn’t a story made up by this ‘victim’. May be the previous ‘victim’.

The woman admitted that she wanted the charges dropped. The guy likely convinced her to do so. But the fact the charged weren’t dropped and she didn’t bother showing up tells me she likely lied and just made it all up. There can be extraneous circumstances beyond her control but when asked the best she could do is cry and say she was depressed.

    Let me get this straight.

The guy was her only source of income. He recently spent 2 weeks in jail, probably because SHE reported him for not paying child support on time or something. His time in jail caused him to lose his job which was his source of income, which also happened to be HER source of income. She became “homeless” because of that. Everything would have been fine if she wouldn’t have sent him to jail for 2 weeks. These stupid women don’t realize that they’re inadvertently punishing themselves by trying to punish their men.

The judge obviously barely knew the case at all, could barely speak an opening… and then got all personal about it.

Ever sat in on an actual trial? I been on the jury for three trials, two criminal and one civil. I also spent every Friday afternoon for three months as part of a grand jury. Believe me, lawyers, judges, witnesses, cops, and experts are rarely practiced public speakers. While I know you that know trials are nothing like what is shown on TV or in the movies, you still don’t quite understand how banal, sordid, and even boring trials can be.

That judge was relatively well spoken. She was also speaking for the record. She has to say specific things in a specific manner lest the case be reversed on appeal. That’s why she sounds so stilted.

I’m going to have to say that the “victim” had second thoughts about putting a guy away in jail on bogus charges. She was obviously lying when the “judge” asked if the it was fake; she had such a HUuuuuuuuuge delay. Either that or she was a complete retard.

She’s a f~~~ing idiot, that’s for certain. And she was lying through her teeth to the judge about everything. As soon as they trot out the “I’m depressed”, “I’m stressed”, “I’m just trying to put my life in order”, and all that other s~~~, you know they are lying. She’s just a typical white trash, drug using, “It’s never my fault”, single mother, oxygen thief, piece of s~~~ C~~~s like her are a dime a dozen. You can whistle up any number you want by waving a carton of cigarettes in any Section 8 housing complex. However…

The asshole they were trying to prosecute is a multiple-time loser. The judge mentions that he has prior convictions – note the plural – for the same offense. While I’m naturally skeptical about domestic violence claims, the asshole in question had been jugged for it at least a few times before. Next add to that the c~~~’s admission that he’d been jailed at least once for something other than the charges she’d brought between the DV incident and the trial. And next add to that the c~~~’s claims that the state had had trouble finding him to enforce a child support order.

Asshole is a repeat offender. Asshole is one of the “usual suspects.” All that means that the cops know him, that the judicial system knows him, and everyone would like to get him off the street for a good chunk of time. They were counting on this trial to put that asshole away and that stupid c~~~ f~~~ed it all up by not showing up. The judge mentions several times that the stupid c~~~ had been repeatedly contacted about testifying and had repeatedly said she would. Then the trial begins, they can’t find her, and the asshole walks away.

Face it, that stupid c~~~ was lucky she only got three days.

Ooooh, the State missed putting someone behind bars, how sad, cry me a river… Don’t fret, madam judge, I’m sure you can spend all your frustration on the next man who appears before you. Your friends the cop are rounding ’em up as we speak and good thing we don’t have to worry about evidence or witnesses these days, do we?

i’m homeless living at my parents house = not homeless
i’m taking care of my 1 year old by myself (but at your parents house) = not by yourself

she also admitted to the judge that she told the DA she wasn’t going to show up. If the problem was really depression, ask the DA for a continuance because of your mental health. Don’t say “I’m not going to show up”.

I’m not saying it’s right and I’m not saying I agree with it. What I am saying is that I understand why the system jugged that stupid c~~~ for three days.

Remember our group’s favorite Aristotle quote? It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain an idea without accepting it. While I understand why this happened, I don’t think it should have happened.

The system wanted to put away her boyfriend and her behavior f~~~ed up their chances. She chose to bring the state into their relationship and now that same blind, moronic, “We’ve got a hammer so every problem is a nail”, state is going to grind her up.

Don’t fret, madam judge, I’m sure you can spend all your frustration on the next man who appears before you.

Don’t worry, Madam Judge already does that. Madam Judge is so p~~~ed she jugged the state’s own witness to the crime. Madam Judge is so indoctrinated that she actually believes she dispenses justice.

Your friends the cop are rounding ’em up as we speak and good thing we don’t have to worry about evidence or witnesses these days, do we?

Cops aren’t my friends and they’ve never needed evidence or witnesses. Again, just because I understand why and how cops work the way they do it doesn’t necessarily mean that I agree with that. Knowing your enemy isn’t agreeing with them.
