Thus is the One and Only Jerry Lewis in a very rare interview in 1965.
An exceptional man who made history but was never really understood.
I hope you enjoy it as much as I didFor those whom do not understand the genius that is Jerry Lewis, he contributed far more behind the movie screen than on the movie screen.
Along with hosting a number of charities, Jerry Lewis came up with and implemented a number of behind the scenes movie systems we take for granted today.
For example, Jerry Lewis came up with the immediate video play back. Because he wanted to see the scenes he just shot. So, he could know if the “take” was right or now. Or, if he had to do the scene again.
This invention lead to video playback of the Betamax, Laserdisc, VCR, DVD, HD-DVD, Blu-Ray, and smartphone video playback systems we have today.
I liked his comedy when I was a kid. I thought he was hilarious.
He did serious fundraising for charities. He walked the walk.
