Japan on Saturday activated its first marine unit since World War Two trained to counter invaders occupying Japanese islands along the edge of the East China Sea that Tokyo fears are vulnerable to attack by China.

In a ceremony held at a military base near Sasebo on the southwest island of Kyushu, about 1,500 members of the Amphibious Rapid Deployment Brigade (ARDB) wearing camouflage lined up outside amid cold, windy weather.

“Given the increasingly difficult defense and security situation surrounding Japan, defense of our islands has become a critical mandate,” Tomohiro Yamamoto, vice defense minister, said in a speech.

S~~~, this is REALLY serious guys. The Japanese are EXTREMELY anti-militant. They would only take these steps if they believed that Japan was in immediate danger. They must know s~~~ we American’s don’t. Our f~~~ing lying ass government won’t tell us s~~~’s bad until half our major cities are nothing but a pile of rubble.

Not too worried about it. China would still destroy the Japanese in any way shape or form. Pres. Bush and the other UN security counsel members allowed Germany to have a Navy and their Army to expand outside their border. I believe that was primarily due to the fact he was drumming up support for the two wars he started. I’d be more concerned about Germany than Japan. That Merkel just reminds me of a female version of Hitler. Japan’s military is about as equivalent as New Zealand’s. I.E., it’s a non-starter. New Zealand, like Japan have the US to come to their aid. With Pres. Bush, I do not think the Chinese will jump to invade Japan anytime soon. With the show of force Pres. Trump did with Syria and the Tomahawk missile launch. That was a show of extreme force to the world. I.E. Do not Fvck with the US and it’s allies. This is not Pres. Obama, this is Pres. Trump. I will fvck you into oblivion. I do not support Pres. Trump on much, but the show and real action of a strong military was a good decision.

The west is still in a bubble…Being prepared is essential…Remember about the surprise attacks on Pearl Harbor…Granted Japan is an ally now, but the lesson learned is that another country can do the same tactic…They say they are diplomatic but their actions speak otherwise…

Remember the lesson of Vietnam…Military might and “superiority” faced countless losses at the hands of farmers…

Japan still is proud of its roots, as any culture should be…They accept other races and culture but makes sure that those cultures doesnt kill their own…If you know your heritage, then you have something to hold on to when the going gets tough…

Japanese will never get along with anyone else. I have met with them, worked with them – but their culture is introvertive and proclaims their superiority.

I hesitate to use the word racists on them as a people as this is more of a way they have been brought up. Those who migrate do not hare this trait.

However that does not excuse that their army were utterly and completely evil in WWII. I have personally spoken to very old Asians under the Japanese occupation. There is real hatred for the Japanese in Asia regardless of what race they are.

If Japan ever attempted any sort of military action – US allies or not – Korea would be the first one to retaliate, followed by China.

Any new military adventure will be Japan’s last. I am sure of this.
