    Men of the forums!

My name is Alex, I’m from Norway, I’m 18 and I study drama. See, I want to be an artist, and I have only really been at it for a couple of years. Since childhood I wanted to be an actor, now what I want is anything that enables me to make a living not working for others, but truly for my self (I wouldn’t mind serving others, as long as I feel like I grow from it as an individual and am making myself happy). A radio host/actor/writer/poet/painter are all things that I’m considering for my future.

What I didn’t see coming was that my first drama group would be only women, and politically active feminists at that (they really own the art-side of school, sadly). I’ve never been more depressed or felt less able to express myself and my masculinity without being totally ripped apart by my fellow “mates” than i did those horrible years. It gave me anxiety, and a total loss of my sense of self. All debates we had they all seemed to agree with each other about some of the most twisted and hypocritical views, often leading to some of the more honorable of them (not as extreme) looking at me with a sad expression as i sat there, mute. Afraid. I never once stood up to them while they were taking away my masculinity, piece by piece. I could feel my worthlessness seep through my pores. But I still couldn’t be a man about it and address how i felt about it. They were terrifying.

One of the times I felt worthless was once my feminist “friend” actually ordered me (she did not ask politely) to go pick something up for the entire class and when I gathered the b~~~~, I stood up to her and said something along the lines of “nah, if it really is that interesting to you, you can go ahead and pick it up yourself.” This turned 4 people against me and they started shouting at me and calling me lazy and other insults. I wasn’t lazy, I just didn’t give a f~~~. As the apologetic bitch I was, I apologized and went to do what they had forced me to do. It did not feel good. That day I knew I wasn’t truly happy with my situation and had not been for a while. But instead of blaming them and considering myself a victim, I have taken matters into my own hands. From this day forward I will improve as a man. I have switched classes now, restarted the same semester with a new class because i didn’t feel like i could go on with all of the hate from my “friends”. In my current class we are 4 men, but it will still be difficult to stand up against the terrible people that still roam the halls of the school.

When I figured out about this movement I knew it is exactly what I need and what I’ve been lacking in my life. I want to feel like a man again. And I have taken upon me the task of reclaiming my masculinity, starting today by stating some of my true feelings here, online.

I know my English probably isn’t perfect, but I really don’t care. Here in Norway I’m considered way above average.

    Thanks for having me!

Welcome! I am glad you made it without marrying one of them.

By the way, if that is your picture in your avatar, you might want to change it to something that can not be used to track you down later on.

Edit: One of my old school chums had a similar experience while taking drama courses. His classes were full of angry feminists and flamboyant homosexual men. He got through it, with hide intact. (whew!)

He then discovered he had to start all over to break in to theater. He said he wasted years in worthless classes and thousands in tuition, years and monies that would have been better spent attending autitions.

Luckily, in Norway, the classes are free for now. The school system is very different here and we can start specializing for 3 years without paying. I don’t really know how this works elsewhere. Once i graduate drama now, i have the choice to pay for further education at a university or a college.

Seeing the state most drama classes are in now, i really don’t know if i will want to keep taking classes. What i do know is that it does seem like a huge waste of money. Building a network would without a doubt be the better idea, although it may be harder than taking up a loan.

Good luck with that, whatever you decide. I look forward to drinking champagne in your honor while you are accepting a major award for your acting.

Welcome and enjoy the forums.  Be sure to visit the atchives. There is a wealth if knowledge there that will change your life. It certainly changed mine.

I have discovered a truly remarkable list of reasons why women are not necessary for a happy life, but alas this margin is too small to contain it.

King Alex you’ve opened your eyes. As far as reclaiming your masculinity just revisit past events and decide what you should’ve done and why. Than apply it to the future. Being a man is about improving and taking things in stride. You’re more of a man than you think.

I consider myself a rather average man and in the situation you presented I would’ve started the same way. Rather than later caving in, I would’ve stood my ground because I was right. You did a good job brother, just have the fortitude to stand your ground when you’re right. Often times people who want to act like a man will stand their ground when wrong, don’t go that route.

Welcome to the fam Alex! Feminism has run rampant, and needs to be put in check

your English is 100%, I would have assumed you were American/English.

I welcome a good definition here. You will NEVER be happy arround these brainwashed creatures. Consider starting your own talent agency. You can use a software called DNN, DotNetNuke, hosted on powerdnn, managed. You can buy modules to install for functionality.

Thanks for this. I’ll look into it!

I see this too often. It makes me sad to think about that most people can be this stubborn. I tend to stay away from them lately.

Just wanted to say I am jealous. Lately I have been hearing many great things in terms of education from countries like Norway, Germany, Sweden etc. It seems you guys have a much better and cheaper overall education system.

Canada isn’t THAT bad I suppose, but we like to copy America which means a lot of s~~~ gets f~~~ed up and we are only getting worse.
