Just to entertain you, gents! Take a seat in your easy chairs, put some wood in the fireplace and serve yourself some good drink!
This creature is widely known as Yeti, Bigfoot, Sasquatch. Our ancestors were calling him Leshy.
There are many evidence and stories about meeting him across the Russian Empire. It looks like people met those creatures as often as they seen its own neighbours. Leshy was feared and respected. It’s considered Leshies were spirits of forest. Mostly agressive toward people, but acted like real MGTOW. They were stealthy, walk around like ghosts. They didn’t give a f~~~ to the things happening outside the forest and had no things to women, just were kidnaping them and then pump and dump those c~~~s.Okey, seriously now. đ
It’s believed Leshy may kill, stun or imprint a sense of fear or even have led to lost in the woods.
There one confusing thing is. Our ancestors also spoke about so-called “wild men” (hairy human-like beings living in forests). They were considering those wild men are cursed and because of that they couldn’t find a way out of woods and were taken by Leshys to serve them.
Earliest reference to meeting a bigfoot that I know is related to the end of the 12th century. It’s written in “Slovo o polku Igoreve”. In your language it’s The Tale of Igor’s Campaign.
…the whistling of beasts had risen,
The Deev is calling on the top of a tree.Name Deev is looking like it comes from the old Russian word “deevo” – something that is a very impressive, an unusual. Personaly me haven’t read the book, but one of my ex’s, she is a phylologist, had confirmed that there are such lines in the Tale.
Leshies came to villages mostly in the night to steal food, make the mess, scare animals.
In the woods Leshy made different loud noices like claping, whistling, screaming and laughing. Can be an invisible, but may be spotted either with side vision or sighting trough the horse’s ear.Happiness for all and let no one be forgotten ("Roadside picnic", Arkady and Boris Strugatsky)
Thats funny Suggestius.
Many folks in this country believe in Bigfoot. Personally I do not. I’m a hunter, and I know other hunters and I can assure anyone who asks that if a Bigfoot creature existed a hunter would have produced a dead body a long time ago. (Or a dead one/bones would have been found long before now).
NOTE: In the last 15 years the use of game cameras have exploded—they are everywhere during hunting season—yet with the increase in surveillance actual “sightings” has dramatically decreased. OPPPPSSSS!
Thanks for sharing, Suggestius.
Always interested in the legends and myths from places like the Balkans and Russia. Some stories are similar to the western legends, always intriguing, and some are unique. I’ve been reading online about the early cultures that developed near the Ural Mountain range in the stone and bronze age. Quite interesting, really.Don't let them Blame, Shame or Tame you!

I thought about it. And I have a theory. Personally I had seen UFO for 5 times until now. I spent my summer every year out of the town in a country settlenemt. So I saw UFO over there. When objects were appearing in sky, dogs across the country settlement were driving crazy, and when objects were dissapearing, the dogs were stopping bark immediatly. It sounds like a conductor waved its baton down. Many years later I asked the mother about this (she saw it too a couple of times) and she was sure it couldn’t be tied with their activity.
The last time I have seen UFO was almost 20 years ago. But a peak of my observations falls on the end of 80’s and the beggining of 90’s. As everywhere in Russia and maybe in USA. I haven’t heard of UFO activity for the last decade at all.
It could be the same with bigfoots. When I’m reading about Sasquatch I see Leshy in his everything. If mythological creatures from the different cultures look alike then probably they are more real than we think.Happiness for all and let no one be forgotten ("Roadside picnic", Arkady and Boris Strugatsky)

Arkaim? A part of the country of towns. The ancient capital of early Aryan civilization. I live just 400 miles away. Unfortunately I have never been there.

Not specifically Arkaim but all along the range, north to south, through western Russia, from the coast of the Arctic Ocean to the Ural River and northwestern Kazakhstan.

Our region has many tales to be told. May I ask you where such interest comes from?

The best protection against Bigfoot is a camera.
No longer can we walk away, we must run. Remove the motive power.

I think in order to understand people it’s necessary to understand where they come from. I like anthropology and history. I’m interested in the evolution of languages and what happens when cultures mix over the centuries.

#GenderSegragationNow!When i was in high school i had a few mates along with other of our high school students who caught a bus that would pick them up from in the mountains behind our city . They stopped to pick up three kids and as the kids were getting on to the bus all the students were yelling out .Behind the bus stop was as they all said was a bigfoot and even the bus driver seen it .I knew my mates were definitley not bulls~~~ting from still having a bit of shock . Apparently it just dissapeared .
Another time when in my early twenties we use to go camping in a remote place not many people new about . There was a creek just behind then on the other side was thick jungle on a sloping hill .We were all sat around the campfire and herd large rocks landing just behind us on our side of the creek on the heavily stoned bank . We went to investigate with powerful torches .Could not see anything but another rock flew out of no where . We seen were the rock in our torch light mid air . Just nothing there . No rustling of bushes and this was impenatrible jungle . We use to camp in this spot often that was the only time that dver happend .Something i just thought of was were where the rocks gatherd from because non would of been able to be found from the sloped jungle they would of had to be gatherd of the creek bank and these rocks were not small . There were elderly people a group of four that would camp in this area some holiday times and we told them and they had expierenced the same ln one occasion .
The history of big foot in our hills goes all the way back to first people who inhabbited our mountain area behind my city .
Our original aborignal people of my area looked very different almost like a bit caveman . To those not from Australia aboriginal people differ in appearence and not from bloodlines of whites been introduced . Our native people differ in appearence with a pure bloodline and differeng beliefs to . A friend of mine from years ago would tell me when he was mustering in northen territory the abbo’s up there beleaved in what i can not remember the name or full blown details was a little man who was coverd in hair and sneak in to take people . Apparently he could just vanish with you .
Another mystical place is MAGNETIC MOUNTAIN . Look that one up and tell me yout not amazed and baffled . Cattle musterers stay clear but abbo gaurdians perform a cermony when they go any where near it with a smoking ceromony where they cover them selves in smoke and perform a ritual . I have great respect for our abboriginal natives that live in traditional manner in the bush . I spent quite sometime with one . My old mate George. With some tribes if an abbo did something real bad he could get the punishment of been “sung” . It is a curse that will slowly debilitate you and kill you . There was a documented case of an abbo bloke in hospital that had mentioned that happend to him which doctors were baffled .
Is it a mystical creature with power and intelligence that we can not comprehend . Like a throwing a tv in front of a cave man .We as people are arrogant if due to not been able to comprehend don’t beleave . I have a very open mind to anything been possible .
THE PLANTATION HAS NOW TURNED INTO THE KILLING FIELDS . WOMAN ARE NOW ROLLING CAMBODIAN STYLE .
“Sung” This the word I have needed! Fix me if I wrong, your bigfoot is called Ayovi by the locals that means “the evil man”. Our locals here call a bigfoot Shurale – a demon. He has long fingers, a horn on its forehead, and a woolly body. He lures victims to a thicket and can tickle them to death.
Many things you have described, Blade, are matching. All of your stories have thier analogues with a little differences over here. For exmple, it’s a known happening of the pre-Soveit Russia when a country boy encountered a small hairy creature and yelled about it to a shepherd who was near. The shepherd beat the creature with its whip and the creature had ran away in the forest.
I had watched an interview with a local climber. He told they had a camp on a plato at the difficult penetrable mountains (you will see something alike a little bit later). He said someone began to throw stones at them in the night so they were forced to step behind the fire so hide behind light mid air. As long as it lasted (about a hour) they were staying there keeping their ice axes at ready. In the morning they went to that place where the stones flied from. But found nothing. Due to lack of vocabulary I can’t explain how the stones were thrown so take a look at this.
Another mystical place is MAGNETIC MOUNTAIN . Look that one up and tell me yout not amazed and baffled .
Even places where those cratures appeare are look alike. It’s a pride of my home Oblast (analogue of a State). Pearl of the Urals – Manaraga mountain. Mystical place as well.

And this are Taganay Mountains. It’s in my native Oblsat, where I was born. I drove once by and I have seen the chain of them from the distance. They are awesome, and you feel like pawns ears. Many stories about “the snow man” come exactly from there.

Now UFOs are a different story. I had my own encounter with one back in 1988 so yes that s~~~ is real. But bigfoot–naw not buying it.
Okey, Pete, check-rise. I’m sure you were suspecting something. Such obsession can’t appear on the empty place. I saw him at the same hills where I was observing UFO in my childhood. Actually I went there exactly because of my memories. I wanted to see where UFO could take off from and land back. We found nothing about UFO, except an ugly tree, but we encountered him. We had a camera but there were about 10 seconds from the moment I had spotted him on the top of the hill to the moment he walked away to the opposite side. No chance to take a picture. We started to chase him only because I yelled like a crazy we should run upward. Guys even didn’t understand why. I have explained them “why” when it was over. BUT! We all saw something big moving in the grass. The grass tall was about 5.5 ft (170 cm). It was covering the whole side of the hill. The only thing I can’t explain – he was 1/4 tall compare to a pine, and his size wouldn’t let him completely hide himself in the grass. But we haven’t seen any part of the something crawling through the grass.
Since that day (I was 18 y/o) I wish to meet him again. Maybe because I don’t believe myself. I would give away many exciting things I had in the past for those 10 seconds to re-live it again and maybe act somehow different. I have read in the western articles that bigfoots appearances and sightings of the UFO are connected somehow. My experience proves it for 100 percent.Happiness for all and let no one be forgotten ("Roadside picnic", Arkady and Boris Strugatsky)
lol. The 21th century is here! F~~~ing Internet. I found photos of those hills! You probably wouldn’t even understand how it’s unbelievable. Now you can see what the place is about I’m repeating over and over again.

I will never question anything a brother on the site experienced personally so your experience stands in my book. Same as Blade. You were there, you saw what you did, and I wasn’t there so I’m in no position to take issue. BUT
Do me a favor—when you go back looking for him bring a gun along and put one between his eyes, You’ll be famous! AND you can serve me up some crow pie!
Of course sometimes the shooting thing doesn’t work as I found out in my UFO experience.
By the way the pictures are breathtaking.
Should I turn to you and say: “Morituri te salutant!” No, I don’t want you to gain weight so no pies! Okey… I don’t want a bloody mess of me! đ
Soviet government was taken “the snow man” seriously. The only photo made during an expedition for decades.
