Anyway communication, real open communication, is not wanted or even required in a relationship. Women cannot handle fully open and honest communication, plus most perceive it as a weakness on the part of a man. All that is required is catering to her whims, and even then nothing is certain. The fact that someone doesn’t want to say the word c~~~ doesn’t make him/her a woman by default. That’s a rather stupid test of gender, IMO.

As for the question, I think Faust had it right. Technically, no one is completely independent, never utilizing anything from another human being. So essentially, anyone can claim they are independent since they can makeup whatever definition fits themselves.

I prefer the question, are you contributing more than you’re taking, or at least in the neighborhood of even? There are most certainly women meet that definition, but as someone pointed out, no one who is independent has a need to declare their independence.

Nobody is truly independent, and women as a whole are much less independent than men, which makes them even more irritating and stupid sounding because most of the time they are the ones that brag and whine about being independent and strong.

The whole alimony thing irritates me. Ok maybe if she stayed at home raising the family and has next to no chance at making a living for herself, then ok i can see it. But that’s anti-feminist, living off a man relying on him to provide.

On the other hand, i don’t believe a feminist is entitled to anything except child support if she is granted custody. She would have been working during the marriage and providing her half to everything so why should she be entitled to alimony.
