Where I come from most of the men up to the mid 80s mined coal.

A hundred years ago apart from the ancillary industry the only work was in the mines.

Men died in their hundreds back then.

There are stories in local history books of men walking 5 miles to complete 12 hour shifts then walking back. They did this 6 days a week.

I wonder if any of those men considered how masculine they were viewed.

Then there’s that crass line that ‘a woman’s work is never done’. What about those f~~~ing men.

Point being – why is everything pertaining to men up for scrutiny by people who ain’t men.

I have no interest in traditional masculinity. Traditional men are not only heavily delusional (they rationalize their extreme disposability by making it out as if they are ‘real’ men) they are also very dangerous. The traditional man was simply less intelligent and more easily fooled. Any man of intelligence saw through the conjob that traditional masculinity is and was.
