When I was in fourth grade my parents sent me to a psychiatrist because I wasn’t focused on my classwork. She believed that I had ADD(I was never diagnosed). So she prescribed Ritalin to me. Ritalin is a highly addictive drug. Not only does the drug cause children to focus in school, it also causes children and adults to have extreme anxiety issues as a result of taking it. Several years later in tenth grade when I was sixteen years old, my parents noticed that I was very anxious all the time and didn’t know why. The psychiatrist was an overpaid stupid woman who thought that medicine and drugs would solve the world’s problems. She tried to diagnose me with a delusion disorder because she didn’t like my anxiety or my conspiracy theories (which were bulls~~~). Later I thought that my mom was trying to poison me so I called 911. The police arrived and they found no evidence of any poison in my water(not that they looked hard). At the time it made sense for me to believe that, because she had motive to kill me. I was very mean to her back then. The police and my parents contacted the psychiatrist and she recommended committing me to a mental institution. My Dad wanted a second opinion from another psychiatrist. So they sent me to two other psychiatrists at the same time. One was a counselor and the other one handled my drug prescriptions. They took me off the Ritalin and prescribed me Resperidone. After talking to the counselor for a while he determined that it is impossible for me to have a delusion disorder because it is hereditary and no one in my entire family has a history of mental illness. I still had to take Resperidone for a while but they later took me off that drug. I was in 11th grade when I stopped taking that drug and when I stopped seeing those two psychiatrists. I am now drug free and am trying to wigle my way out of the world of s~~~ that I currently inhabit. Two psychoactive drugs ruined my entire life and my relationship with my family! Unbelievable Right! Psychoactive drugs like those ones have been linked to mass shooings(according to my research in Criminal Justice class for a paper I wrote). The taking of those psychotropic drugs is what all mass shooters have in common. These drugs do not help anyone. They only get people addicted and tamper with part of the human mind that should not be messed with. Let’s face the facts shal we? Psychological diagnosis of mental illnesses are all based on opinion of a Psychiatrist. There are no brain scans or xrays that can test whether or not a person has a mental illness. I having studied Psychology in high school don’t actually believe that it is a real science based on any credible evidence. The reason why people in that scientific field don’t challenge it for it’s lack of evidence is because the psychiatric pharmacies are a multi million dollar industry.
I'm married to the game, but she broke her vows.
No ….
Well not for any sort of long term trauma. The only people i found to be of any use were people that have been through s~~~ and then trained to help others.
It may help short term but is a complete wash for long term future health.
Same as medication. Drug your way out is only for short term … but is now used as a cure all.
PTSD and the like are long term life time issues and will need revisiting over time.
I have found a strong network of family and/or friends …. and the ability to share with them …. by far better treatment.
The rest is a short term money racket.
DO NOT TAKE PSYCHOACTIVE DRUGS
Society asks MGTOWs: Why are you not making more tax-slaves?
Basically, these drugs are indeed meant to control us. We will drug up to be happy and thus oblivious to the true misery of our lives and the dilapidated state of our communities and nation as a whole. Aldous Huxley said it best.

No. It’s a laughable field in which any crook and quack with a degree can help the Established Order propagate false notions and policies in order to keep the status quo in their favor.
Most psychiatrists I met were even crazier than I am. One psy who was in charge of giving me Anger Management course committed suicide. That, in and of itself, is nuts.Don't let them Blame, Shame or Tame you!
Give 'em NOTHING, not even an answer!
#GenderSegragationNow!I have my doubts about this “scientific field” but we can’t deny that are indeed some severe nutjob cases that really need to live their lifes through chugging pills (like schizophrenics and/or bipolar dudes) and might snap if they forget to take these things at determined time of the day.
But when it comes to depression or ADD, I really doubt if is really necessary to make their children take these psychoactive drugs. Not that I face these mental situations as a joke but in the end our mind state is in our hands. We should be able to control certain thoughts and attitudes by ourselves without having to spent money buying medicines.
Yes and no.
My opinion is they are lazy and too often go to drugs.
They often mis diagnosis and throw everything into bucket descriptions.
They have no actual tests.

This, I think, sums up one of my biggest problems with the psych field: It’s a field of people who got interested in the subject because they felt like something was wrong with them and they’re still trying to figure it out. It’s like the fat personal trainers and nutritionists I see all the time. In a perfect world, psychiatrists would be people so happy with their own lives, they’d be giving advice to others who were unhappy with their lives.
And that’s my other major problem with it: It’s all opinion. There were some people like Freud who were willing to make no compromises and attempt to figure out what’s going on in the mind, but at the end of the day, it’s all a massive guess. So you got a bunch of needy people trying to figure out what’s wrong with them taking the opinions of other needy people as gospel truth. Bad idea.
It’s being absolutely infested by feminists (just like in the education field) in an attempt to legitimize their movement, so it’s kind of a breeding ground for problems now. They’re not interested in the welfare of the individual; they only want more bodies pulling for their cause. On the whole, I’d say it’s far from an honest field anymore. Then again, there are very few fields that are.
Great point. Psychiatry is all about how the patient fits in society. So it is very relative. Youre avoiding women because AWALT. Depression! !!
Internal medicine will at least look at a x-ray and society don’t matter.

No. Sadly, I had to learn this through personal experience of being on Adderall, Zoloft and Xanax for years.
