Introductions on mgtow.com
Firstly this is not a rant ….. in fact quite the opposite.
All new mgtow.com members SHOLD introduce themselves and tell us ‘a little’ of what brought them here.
In my mind there are several reasons for this:
1. Good old fashioned courtesy
2. It tells everyone who they are, their background, how old, working or school etc.
3. Warning signs that they may need immediate help or advice
4. The chance to be greeted and welcomed. Making it easier for them to get involved
5. Guided towards the archive if not already done
6. Tuna detectionThoughts please gents and add subtract to above list.

That’s a good one.
I always ask the Newcomers when they start a topic, for a short introduction if they are in the mood.
Also interesting is to mention the place where they live, Country and/or State. Knowing someone here who lives just around the corner makes it more familiar and shows us all how far MGTOW is going and growing. I guess lot of MGTOWs like to travel around the world, and have explored other countries, good for conversations anyway.Tuna must be detected. + Identities must be protected. “ay, there’s the rub!”
Both of these, if thoughts are to flow freely.
MGTOW deserves both and will attain both simultaneously, but how?
how much tuna is currently within the ranks? the shadow knows ie KM
how many ideal mentors are gone from here for ID reasons. the good they would have done – – –
this is not to take away from the other four reasons, it’s just to point out the quandry. It’s like if you build a balsa model to fly, it may not survive a crash and built to survive crashes models don’t fly worth a crap.
"It seems like there's times a body gets struck down so low, there ain't a power on earth that can ever bring him up again. Seems like something inside dies so he don't even want to get up again. But he does."
I agree with ILiveAgain, once again.
Society asks MGTOWs: Why are you not making more tax-slaves?
I’ll remind you that there was another forum that got into doing that, by the end they were banning and verbally abusing people just for the crime of submitting an intro that didn’t measure up to what they thought it should be.
I do not want to see that happen here. The only way to get rid of the trouts hiding in the shadows is to use invasive measures which will probably do more harm than good. I’m content as long as they are forced to stay quiet and remain undiscovered because as soon as they start talking, it will be obvious and they’ll get kicked out.

Hi Rennie,
I agree that this is a risk in social Networks but do you think it depends on the subject? I think when it happens it can always happen, but less in giving an introduction then more in telling an opinion.I’ll remind you that there was another forum that got into doing that, by the end they were banning and verbally abusing people just for the crime of submitting an intro that didn’t measure up to what they thought it should be.

Before I joined here, I joined at mgtowhq.com. I gave the exact same introduction there as I did here. I was called a woman and banned within 3 posts. That site has clueless admins, and is apparently full of trolls. Introductions are a good thing, though. I see this place as a community, an exclusive space for men.
I believe some people have a hard time sharing their stories until they feel comfortable. Need to get a feel for things or this website may not be simply for them. Although I do believe it is better to have your first post as an intro I don’t think it should be a prerequisite.
It's only after we've lost everything that we're free to do anything

I agree with Durdan.
There is a MGTOW forum in my country and i made my first post with a introduction like in here, they banned me for life calling me troll and i when i tried to ask to the admin why they made it, i never get response…
Here i did a few comments before i felt comfortable and then i made my presentation and i glad to stay here because i see that some of the people who welcomed me, made their presentation after me…so i think is a good thing but maybe that would let many people outside…

Hi snake, guess it is my first reply to you, so welcome at first.
I agree, a gents place and I think we all can handle this like gents.
Although I do believe it is better to have your first post as an intro I don’t think it should be a prerequisite.
the same welcome to you Durden, and the same thoughts here.
Intro’s are good but I do like that this site lacks the legalism of the other ones.
I’ll remind you that there was another forum that got into doing that, by the end they were banning and verbally abusing people just for the crime of submitting an intro that didn’t measure up to what they thought it should be.
I think I mentioned to you that’s exactly what happened to me – personally. TWICE with mgtowforums.com. It was the most hurtful thing… finding a place where I thought there were many other like-minded guys like me… then reading for like 1 year. And THEN FINALLY making an intro. Then the f~~~ing door got slammed in my face. TWICE. No explanation. No reason. Nothing.
“GET LOST YOU F~~~ING TROLL!!!”
All caps. It was terrible. I was all excited to participate… made a really positive intro I spend an hour composing…. and was then immediately shut out . But not only that…. I was IP BANNED…. so I couldn’t even READ anymore. It hollowed me out.
So I said f~~~ it. Why JOIN…. when I can build my own and make the rules.
It will be wide open for everyone and introductions will be OPTIONAL.It will not be “NO WOMEN ALLOWED!!!!!!”
It will be for MEN ONLY. Period. Important difference.MGTOW will make their introductions enthusiastically – when they are ready. And they have. We made the kind of place they will be HAPPY to join and we will be happy to have them. The only requirement (and they will get smoked out eventually) is an understanding and willingness to help other men. We have successfully created the first MGTOW forum that doesn’t depend on mandatory introductions.. and “banning” you is the LAST thing will we do. Eeven women will be politely escorted out via the woman’s shelter. We even provide the mechanism to show themSELVES out with dignity intact. If they won’t, then there is nothing we can do about that, and it’s now open season in the litter box.
You guys have made great efforts to maintain this kind of environment we set out to create.
I SWORE we would never be like that place.
Anyone can buy http://www.mgtowforums.com for $999 GBP now.(For those that already offered. MGTOW.COM is not for sale. We send them over there instead. lolz )
Pretty sure it was AVFM who wanted to buy mgtow.com after we acquired. Twice. (although they wouldn’t say)
Whoever it was DID say:“We believe we are equipped to represent MGTOW media”.Whatever the f~~~ that means. “Represent MGTOW media?” OK what websites have you produced? What is your place in the Manosphere? Have you established yourself? What you have you created that shows an ability and interest in “MGTOW media”? There was no reply. Of course.
They made the tragic mistake of thinking all they had to offer was ca$hola. Big mistake.
If you keep doing what you've always done... you're gonna keep getting what you always got. While there is sense in having introductions preferred, and it’s reasonable to ask where someone is coming from if they just pop in with demands or looking for help, but I really don’t like the idea of it being required.
I would have never joined up here if it was a requirement, actually I did not originally plan to sign up, I was just generally wary about what the site would turn out to be with the whole mess with Elam happen around the same time as the current rendition of this place was coming online.
What caused me to join was Vector’s post over in “Relations~~~s” and thinking to my “self holy s~~~ this guy just woke up before impact! he can save himself, someone needs to say something! … I need to say something!” Ended up not being the first thing I posted on because Brain Pilot had already hit all the points I would have on the first round of advice with an enviable amount of clear precision. Added in my contributions as it continued forward to help keep Vector focused, aware and thinking logically.
I’ve put out fragments of myself here and there, put up a thing or two when I though it would be good and reported a thing or two to management when I noticed something troubling pop up on the website be it a tuna or a stealthy troll, just doing my part to keep the place clean of refuse. I figure I’ll get around to a proper introduction at some point though I’m not rushing for it at the moment as I’m not sure what to say and I feel it would just be some combination of long and boring. Granted no has ever said anything to me about it thus far, maybe its because I joined comparatively early and didn’t arrive seeking advice. I’d rather plod along at my own pace, my posts and stories show who I am, I don’t need help, by in large I am very settled in and comfortable with the MGTOW mindset, one of the advantages of having noticed the truth of the matter of things at a younger age back before things got so blatant. If it comes down to being forced to make an intro or being forced out, it’d be a little sad but I’d probably prefer to just wander off.
Edit: I see while I was think this one over KeyMaster got here, thank you for confirming the intros being optional I remembered that being stated somewhere when I signed up but was starting to get worried the place had changed, you have provided me a great relief this evening.
I once made an intro there, they didn’t like it and then the sharks started circling, which was really creepy, so I left. I presume I was probably banned but I never bothered to go back and look. Some of the people running the place were clearly nuts, they reveled in being as vulgar and abusive to others as possible. They were so bad that they were detrimental to the movement. How many potential good community members were probably driven off by that behavior. Sometimes I’ve wondered whether that was actually their intention, to discredit MGTOW.
The reason the sites owner wants 999GBP is so that none of the “haters” can buy the domain and out do him.
I wouldn’t of joined here either if there was a forced intro, because I was already under the assumption the site was run by those same people.
I’m glad to hear the reassurances that such policies will not return.
