Blade – don’t be hard on the coach. Apparently it was a normal ritual the team performed. The got caught out by sudden rain which forced them deeper into the cave system. He knows all too well what he’s done.

I had wondered if there are certain protocol around the administration of a lethal dose of something if it was impossible to bring them out of that cave.

In short offer them the choice of starve to death or eat cyanide.

once they were trapped, they likely went to higher ground (deeper in) to escape the flooding. They knew about the “room” they are in now as a refuge from flood waters. The boys were going in with or without the coach. They have gone in before. The coach went with them to protect them because he couldn’t stop them. That’s what I’ve read in local Thai news anyway.

These are Teenage boys here we are talking about. How the f~~~ is it so hard to get them OUT?

Arguably, it would be better to drill out and blast a hole in the narrow caves, but then you would have to use robots to get that done.

NOW if this is not a good reason to make Robotic MEN and WOMEN 🙂 I don’t know what is.

And Underwater robot would be able to make that cave passable pretty easy. And I don’t think it would be that hard to make one.

Using OTTO fuel, (fuel that already has a source of oxygen) this would be a cinch.
