I just hooked up my new PS4, and while purchasing and downloading my game selection, I’m already making stupid and costly mistakes. When I bought Call Of Duty Modern Warfare Remaster, I accidentally bought a maps add-on instead of the main game. So in the end Call Of Duty coasted me an extra $15 because I made the wrong selection in the search. And another mistake I made, but it’s no big deal and that is when I bought all my PS4 games, I had a download all option, but because my free Resident Evil Remake game wasn’t part of the list, I tried to find it so I can put it in there. I couldn’t get back to the download all feature screen, so now (right now as I type this), I’m downloading all my games one at a time. The worst is just a little hassle.
Because of my PSN gift cards I got for Christmas, the $139 already in my account and the $20 gift card I bought with my Sony VISA rewards, I have $209 to work with in buying up games. Also just for having a Sony Rewards VISA card, I can get bonus points for purchasing this PS4, which I will put towards future games. So in the end, I’m getting all my games for free just for having a rewards card.
I don’t know what the first gameplay of this new system will be, but I have a choice below:
Resident Evil 0
Resident Evil Remake
Resident Evil CODE: Veronica X
Resident Evil 4
Resident Evil 5
Resident Evil 6
Resident Evil 7 Biohazard
Call Of Duty Modern Warfare RemasterVery likely I will go with Resident Evil 5, because there’s a bonus costume I want to get unlocked and that’s Chris Redfield’s Warrior suit which shows off his muscular physique. I will likely be on this system for another 3 hours just downloading before I play any games, and even that I may have to wait because my dad will be going to sleep in an hour from now and I can’t wake him up.

GET RESIDENT EVIL 7!!!!
I did download Resident Evil 7 Gold Edition. It took an hour to download. It came with Not A Hero add-on, which this add-on I wanted, unlike that Call OF Duty maps add-on I mistaken for the game.
Resident Evil 5 ended up being the first gameplay of the new PS4. The part that sucks is that I now have to go through all that hard work I spent a lot of time on with the PS3 to pick up where I left off. Yes, until I get infinite ammo, I have to do things the hard way.
GET RESIDENT EVIL 7!!!!
I haven’t played Resident Evil 7 before, and I did download and installed it, but why do you want me to get it so badly? This is the second time in a week you want me to get it.

It was my game of the year for 2017 – it is absolutely brilliant. Plus it is your forum name and you are a massive RE fan so it is a no brainer
I’ve been Resident Evil 7 on sites for 15 years.

I can’t say much as I haven’t played much of any RE game first hand, but I have watched some YouTube playthroughs of the first 4 games, 0, remake, rev2, and 7. I have played a demo of 6 and didn’t really enjoy it.
Just judging from what I’ve watched, 7 is more similar to the earlier games with campy humor and more focused on survival than straight up action.

there is no humour in the game at all – it is pretty dark
the gameplay is like Outlast but refined to perfection. Scary as f~~~ if you play it in VR as well
Even though Resident Evil 7 is available in VR, I can’t use it, because it would likely make my stomach sick. I tried virtual reality at Dave and Busters 20 years ago and after just 5 minutes, I threw up.

I would say both Jack and Lucas were kind of hammy at times, and I guess it’s not technically the main game but End of Zoe was hilarious. Maybe it’s just my odd sense of humor though.
I have yet to try any new VR stuff. I imagine it’s come a ways since then in making it not so bad but maybe it’s still not a good idea for those who get motion sick.

it is designed to lessen motion sickness (I am lucky I don’t get it) – you turn in snaps rather than complete motion. Plus the movement is very slow so it helps to combat any nausea
It is a shame if at some point you don’t try it in VR because it is incredible. Walking round the Baker house being followed by Jack is terrifying and that bit where you are under the floorboards and the lights go out….I nearly shat my pants
