    Looks like diesel engine runaway, but a description of the video says the locomotive’s engine is okey. The loco just wasn’t in duty for some time and now the mix of old engine oil and soot burns out like this.

    yes this video is very badass…
    I think: minus 20 – 60 degrees Celsius in Siberia, engine cold, fuel cold (maybe some crude oil with minimum refinement, to be cheap), and motor oil also cold, and those engines also do not have particle filters, like the European diesel cars.

    Basically is a freaking huge train of coal-rollers!

    And for the turbine sound: it might have turbochargers. for the fire: too much unused fuel, I think, maybe too much snow in the air intake, or too much fuel injected.
