I’ve started watching a mini series from the 80’s called North and South. I saw it when it first came out and it’s fascinating to re-watch it.Patrick Swayze does an excellent job portraying Orie Maine from South Carolina. I started watching book one the other night and I highly recommend it for anyone who is a Civil War buff like me. Book 1 starts just prior to the Mexican American war and ends when South Carolina secedes from the Union. The parallels between the events leading up to the Civil War and the things we’re seeing today are uncanny. It’s not just the politics, but the social norms as well. Ashton (played by Terry Garber) is the woman we all talk about here. Leslie Ann Down is the hottest woman in the show, if you ask me. You’ll even recognize Lcdr Ryker from Star Trek Next Generation playing the part of George Hazard’s brother. I’d forgotten that Robert Mitchum is in it, too. If you really want a perspective on the American Civil War without all the politically correct editing in today’s versions of that history, I highly recommend this powerful and accurate mini series before some libtard has it banned for showing women in a bad light or some such other nonsense. I’m not one to rely on movies to teach history, but this mini series stands the test of time and may give some of you a new appreciation of the struggle we Yanks call the Civil War. I compare North Korea to the war with Mexico. At the time, Texas was unfinished business as far as Santa Anna was concerned which led to the war, just like North Korea sees us as unfinished business. And there’s an awful lot of complaining about politics in Washington. All too familiar. Thanks for reading this.

I thoroughly enjoyed it when it came out on TV way back when.
Nowadays, it would probably offend more than one moron.
I guess my question is, What are they not going to ban to save some idiot’s feeeeelings?

Don't let them Blame, Shame or Tame you!
Give 'em NOTHING, not even an answer!
