Eh, I do agree that there is no point in initiating contact with someone if you have no desire to see them again. Even you did, wouldn’t you do it by initially stating that you don’t want it to go further instead of ‘have a great day?’ That doesn’t justify her initial response or all the s~~~ afterwards, but it’s clear that random date man needs to rethink his methods.

I’ve been on dates similar to what he described. You don’t have to match her rudeness, but you certainly shouldn’t be leaving her with the impression that you ‘had your hopes up’.

I would guess most likely that random date man knew it was a s~~~ty date, but didn’t see a lot of options elsewhere. He’s thirsty. He was a little hurt by the rejection and did throw it back at her a bit, to save face.

Again, why she would take that as an insult, I have no idea.
