Those f~~~ers at the Dutch Football Association are forcing my club, FC Twente, to relegate to the 2nd division. That s~~~ isn’t even possible according to their own rules. It’s either Twente stays in the Eredivisie, or we lose our professional license and have to start from scratch again.

I know it may seem as a gesture of good will that they “only” force Twente to relegate, but it isn’t.

We escaped that thanks to a good second half of the season, ended 13th of 18, but because some people f~~~ing hate my club, they change the rules on the spot to make sure we won’t be playing on the highest level next season.

Hell, we won the league 6 years ago, then some shady business started after missing the second title on the last day in 2011, and we’re getting punished with OVERKILL today.

Tell that to Rangers FC. relegated from the SPL to 3rd division after going into administration a few years back.

It was, and as punishment all the staff responsible for it had to leave the club (that happened), we had to come up with a decent budget for the coming years (that happened) and we had to give ALL financial information over to the KNVB (that ALSO happened). We received -15 points over two years (that happened) and the conclusion would be: we did everything we could to make things right. Everyone was confident that this was enough.

Turns out it wasn’t and they change the rules on the fly to make sure Twente gets relegated. I f~~~ing hate the KNVB now.

Looks like your club was punished multiple times for the same offense.

Relegation f~~~ing sucks, but that’s harsh. I’m not sure there’s an appeal process against financial fair play rulings?

Our majority shareholder is a woman and she appointed a politician as chairman. I’d expect to see some financial irregularities at Norwich FC in the not so distant future.

Me personally, I have little to no knowledge about the politics of Soccer, but it sounds like you’re getting a raw deal because someone else is all butthurt and wanted to strike at your team from outside of the field. I hope you can get your team back out of 2nd division soon man.

Nerevar- it does sound like your team got screwed. They’ll just have to tear up the competition next year to get back to top form. It sounds like they had serious issues regarding their business practices.

It’s a good lesson in doing the right thing and following the rules, a hard lesson to learn for sure. I watch a lot of EPL, but we don’t get much Eredivisie here in the States.

So sorry to hear this brother. I remember when Twente was competing in the Champions League. I know that relegation can cost a team millions of Euros. I just checked with the Dutch standings and they finished several placings out of the relegation zone. Did they get relegated for any other reason?
In Europe the top teams get to compete in international competition and the bottom 3 get relegated. However in the U.S. sports teams that finish at the bottom are rewarded with 1st round draft picks. The greedy American owners would not tolerate relegation, Ain’t capitalist greed great.
I will join you tonight in drinking to the unfairness of sports.
Take heart brother, remember that Juventus was once relegated to Serie B due to match fixing scandals and they quickly got promoted back to Serie A and just won their 5th straight scudeto.
