During my teens and early twenties, I chased women as a way of showing my worth to society. If I wasn’t dating, I wasn’t worth anything. I got married in my mid twenties. If I wasn’t a husband, I wasn’t worth anything. I identified as a husband first, and was proud of that fact!

Then I became a father. That’s when it all clicked. I had grown up a Christian, but left The Lord during my twenties. Now I had to go back to Him.

This, among other things, displeased my wife! She wanted out! Who am I then? I identified as a husband and father, now who am I? She wanted to take away our child from me for no reason. Never been in trouble with the law, don’t do drugs, never beat her. That’s when the GREAT AMERICAN JUDICIAL SYSTEM showed me that I’m expendable as a father. I fought for over a year to be in my child’s life. I got it.

Years later, after I devoted my life to Christ, my life is more full of joy. Im confident in who I am. Yet I go the way Christ leads me. I try to obey Him as best I can. But I do pray, “Lord, I could use this, thank you for that, but please, whatever you do, don’t send me another woman!”

Another woman will get in the way of my “marraige” to Christ. Now instead of being responsible to a woman, I’m responsible to Christ. And you know what? Christ never leaves me and tries to take everything I have and destroy me.

So while my ex wife still says, “I wish I could find a good man to marry,” I chuckle, because I’m already with a great Man.

Like a bird on the wire, like a drunk midnight choir, I have tried in my way to be free.

That is a much better life and standard of living. You did the right thing and your inner peace is a better reward than your ex can ever get you.

    Right. One who NEVER married.

You learned what Adam could not.

"what a waste of a life, to marry, give up your freedom, just for the hope of not dying alone. Don't get married Son."

I am a Christian and I am going my way…It is a choice…God gave us this choice…The disciples left their family to be with Christ…Read the bible and do your own research on the matter before letting other peoples biased interpretation of the bible manipulate you into something you dont believe in…Still…everything is a choice by you..Its what going our own way means to us…

I told an older woman that I plan on remaining single. Her reply was “leave that up to God.” But here’s the thing; the power to choose still is and always will be up to me.

So the good news is even if God were to send another she-devil your way, your choices are still up to you. Your power to engage or not in this case is stronger than God’s will, or fate.

Remember that “marriage was made for man, not man for marriage.” The choice will always be yours 😉
