It’s projection really. Very few men would actually leave their girlfriend/wife if she loses only her looks, unless she is like horribly disfigured to the point of being unrecognizable, gets mauled by a bear or something, or in some cases, when she washes off her makeup and shows her bare face. Most men expect their partner to age and are completely fine with it. I’ve seen men, friends or people I’ve talked to, go as far as to lie to themselves, and you know they’re lying, when they say they still find their partner attractive and will always no matter what.

I’m with Tungus on this. The idea that men leaving their wives because their looks fade is essentially a lie. Yes, it does happen, but it’s very rare. Even if a woman tells you that’s why her husband asked for the divorce, can you really believe that?

My wife let herself go a bit as soon as we get married. That turned me off to her not because of what she actually looked liked, but it was a reflection of what she thought about me. I wasn’t going anywhere, so no need to stay off the desserts, right?

And when her looks do start changing due to age/poor upkeep, you think she isn’t going to start taking out her frustration at losing her beauty-power on her husband? She’ll say it was because of her looks, but it almost assuredly was because she turned into a she-beast when she lost her looks.

My ex did this as well. My ex gained 50 lbs. Complaining the whole time about it, and blaming me because I could eat more then her. Then she decided it was time to go on a diet.

It’s a pretty simple law women aren’t accountable and they never will be. People have tried to hold their feet to the fire but its like getting women into stem. They are pretty much hardwired to not like those fields and they sure as hell have it on their mind that accountability is for men.
