In one possible explanation for why 53% of millennials believe they will one day be millionaires it was revealed on Tuesday IQs have fallen 7 points in one generation.

I can’t say I’m surprised, the entitlement of said generation and the belief that everything they want will come to them as reward simply for gracing the world with their presence doesn’t lend itself to either hard work or inteligence.

What does it mean that IQ’s have fallen 7 points in one generation? Your IQ is supposed to be your ABILITY to learn and reason. That would say that there is something going on in our biological make up that is changing. Soy, pollution, drugs?

I look at my daughters and realize that they are the first generation that grew up with the world in their pocket. More computing power than we used to put a man on the moon, the entire internet and the collective knowledge of the world at their fingertips 24/7.

They didn’t grow up like the rest of us. I don’t know if it’s better or worse, but it’s the world the older generation created for them.

IMHO the main reason is, you don’t have to be smart to survive.
A similar thing happened to humans a long ago, we lost a lot of our bone density and strength because “we didn’t need it”, because even weaker humans could survive.

We create a place were evolution doesn’t make sense anymore. We don’t have predators, our threats are words written in a piece paper that have the power to put us in jail, we will be dragged there by guys that don’t need anything more than point a piece of metal to you and say that they will pull the trigger if you don’t cooperate. No strength, no intelligence, no skills, the only thing that they need to do to survive is to obey, so they will get a paycheck, will find a fat post walled land whale to f~~~ and give her his money, and the aberration that will come out of her vagina will be raised to be mentally crippled and follow the same rules that are f~~~ing our society.

We provided means to the weak to survive, we make individual strength and intelligence to not count so much in the real world, just take a look how many c~~~s living by the welfare/alimony/working on imaginary jobs and see how many smart man are struggling to just pay the basic bills. Survival of the fittest ain’t true anymore, we have a parasite in our social structure, and we have the government, that are the chains that keep us locked so the parasite can suck all our blood.

Exactly. How do you truly measure intelligence? There are Sherpas in Nepal that spend their entire lives on the tallest mountains in the world. On one hand, they can’t even pencil simple arithmetic, on the other, they have 100 different names for snow, wind and clouds. Some of them have higher IQs than professors but how do you prove it? Most of these IQ studies are bulls~~~. Fluid and crystalized intelligence. I hardly believe they can measure something that has 100 trillion electrical signals being fired every second. We’ve barely begun to understand the brain.

There is a ton of truth in what you say. I would encourage people to study the macro picture of hominem evolution going back 7 million years. Modern humans have barely shown up and already we’ve barely escaped bottleneck extinction events. This means that our genetics haven’t even really diversified yet, to the extent that it could if given the opportunity.

80,000 years is nothing, that is the current juncture where our genes got bottle-necked, genetically we’re them. We’re a painting in progress, shaped perpetually by what we do.

Don’t worry, our trying times are not over. Nature has a sick way of eradicating those who shouldn’t be on the varsity team. All this living easy off the fat of the land won’t last. Yep it’s been about 60-70′ years since children had to put carboard in the b~~~~ of their sneakers, work out of paper stands and shoe shine at the local y when the sailors came in. To get thier next meal. Most haven’t had the luxury of having to really learn to survive on the streets or hoe the land by hand. Or go begging at the catholic missions for a few meals. That kind of s~~~ builds character and determination and street smarts.

Indeed, the problem is welfare doesn’t come with the removal of the vote, therefore the productive are taxed to hell to pay for it to the point that they have to reduce or even curtail their own desire to have children while retards are paid to breed like rabbits becoming a voting block politicians refuse to act against and indeed have to compete to retain the support of because otherwise they’ll be voted out of office. A socio-economic death spiral if ever there was one, one could almost call it democracy’s fatal flaw.

You guys all have it wrong, most Millennials WILL be millionaires one day, the rate of inflation caused by printing money willy nilly to fund wars and whatnot guarantees it, its just that a million dollars will be worth jack s~~~ when they are 84 years old. Faust doesn’t have it right, the welfare state will continue as long as money can be printed out of thin air to fund it, FIAT money has to collapse or go away first before all the bulls~~~ that it funds can go away.
