I looked at a childhood photo of myself recently. I was skinny when I was 10 years old.

Here’s why: I spent the day riding bikes and skateboards, and I ate better quality food.

My diet was basically this: Cheerios, milk, fruit, and bologna sandwiches. Dinner was cooked by mom almost daily (spaghetti with meatb~~~~, baked chicken, Hamburger Helper w/ beef, pork chops, pepper steak, fish sticks w/ tartar sauce, macaroni w/ cheese, mashed potatoes w/ gravy, boiled mixed vegetables, fresh salads, etc.)

I used to eat apples and peaches as a snack instead of the junk I buy today (candy bars, donuts).

Eating fast food was a rare occasion. We only went to McDonald’s about 6 to 10 times a year.

I think I should “live like a child” so I can lose my excess body fat.

No sugar. No starch. Avoid sugar and starch and you will avoid all sorts of nasty degenerative diseases.

Yes, eat your vegetables; just stay away from the starchy ones. Meat and cheese are OK too, but don’t stick them between white bread. And use the money you were going to spend on dessert on a tip for your serve instead. Win-win.

Cut out as much wheat flour, and sugar as possible, and replace with meats, dairy, vegetables, and some fruit. If you can’t cook, learn. join a Gym – even a cheap one like Planet Fatness is better than nothing !!

LOL how many kids can say that now?!

Cut out as much wheat flour,

Or just choose whole grain varieties,if you’re lifting

you don’t want to drop your carb intake too much cause

you’ll just lose muscle along with the fat.

Lifes a bitch, but you don't have to marry one!

When I saw the title, I thought this was going to be about women claiming they ‘used to be skinny’. Manipulation.

    – It’s not my fault I got fat and out of shape. Life did this to me.
    – I’m more self confident then those skinny bitches.
    – If you stay with me, you’ll eventually get the skinny version again. Maybe.
    – If you don’t stay with, I’m lose my weight just to p~~~ you off.

    Ok. Then do it.

Liquid bread (beer) and anything 80 proof is where I got (and keep) all my weight. I’m not that big and I’m not trying to impress any vagina, so no f~~~s given. Getting leaner sits in the back of my mind. Not ready yet to change. I’m still settling in to single life. Only been a year now.

I do physical work, and have for most of my life. It allows me to eat whatever I want to, but when work slows down, I swell up. The best way to keep the weight off is to cut out sugary drinks, juice, pop, ect. Just eat real food. Most food has a ton of calories, way more than you need. We’re so used to eating a ton, we really don’t need it all.

Also, I’ve had huge luck with eating smaller meals throughout the day, but some say it doesn’t work for them. That way, I’m not inclined to eat a big ass meal when I get home.

I used to be in better shape myself. At some point I had an addiction to soda, sugar and doughnuts and I slowly suffered through it in middle school and high school. Then I gradually got heavier as I kept getting rejected of jobs for so long, because I needed comfort foods and ate at buffets 3 times a week for 7 years. Then I got rapidly heavier because of a side effect by taking Risperdal for my autism. Now it’s very difficult for me to lose weight. I stopped drinking soda and sugar (for the far most part), and I lost only 15 pounds since early June, and my weight stopped dropping at 249 and did nothing different. I really should work those resistance bands, as long as I have them out in my man cave bedroom.

So yeah I used to be skinny myself when I was younger. It’s funny as life gets harder, the more unhealthy I got.

When I realized that the more pounds I lost, the bigger my dick got, it was easy.

    Maybe it will help

Sometimes, after a stressful day at work, I’ll crave “comfort food.” That’s usually a bacon cheeseburger and soda. It only makes me feel better for a few seconds. Then I’m back to feeling miserable. I probably wouldn’t eat as much if I had more fun and less stress in my life.

    15 pounds is a good start !!

Cut out more sugar and other simple carbs, you should start losing again.

Limit the amount of “healthy” carbs if you have problems with continued weight lost.

Strict keto/low carb diets have worked for me when attempting to lose fat, but every body is different. You have to find out what diet works best for you, but cutting out a lot of junk carbs can’t hurt and can only help.

Resistance bands/exercise/weights/aerobics etc. are great for all types of health reasons, but losing weight is all about diet.

Exercise and limit process crap carbs.

How do you think I lost thee first 15 pounds? Ever since taking CLA Core and Shred Matrix, it made me not want soda and candy. The weight started slowly coming off. I drink water (flavored or regular) 95% of the time, and Coors Light once on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. Speaking of which, I had a beer along with cream and parmesan pasta and it’s kicking my ass as I can barely type. I’m buzzed.

All I can tell you is from my personal experience, and the way MY body works. It may be applicable to you, and may not be, like everything else on hear take what you want and throw the rest away.

If I want to lose weight, I must cut my carbs very low, 30 net grams or so per day (Keto/Atkins). If I start getting in the 50 – 100 grams+++, I usually maintain my weight. If I go completely off and eat more of a typical American/western diet, I gain weight.

Going very low carb (lifting weights/aerobics), I have dropped and maintained 30 + lbs. I’m around 178 lbs. If I choose to drop 10 or so more lbs. I need to go very low carb to lose the weight and then I can increase my carbs a bit to maintain.

Speaking of which, I had a beer along with cream and parmesan pasta

Personally, I would not be able to lose weight eating pasta and drinking beer. Other people can eat like this and lose weight. YOU have to find what WORKS with YOUR body and then stick to it.
