I had a job interview today

Skype interview for a teaching method consulting company. Two women interviewing me. They seemed disinterested in me. They asked me questions about my teaching style, my experiences, asked me if I understood different theories. They were interested when I demonstrated that I could perform statistical analysis of testing data. Use testing data to diagnose a problem, and create a solution. Monitor the progress and test again to check the efficacy of the solution. I got the feeling that I was the only man they interviewed. Not sure if I was satisfying some quota in interviewing.

All the education consultants I have seen are women. I would be working with mostly women. But this a field I am trained in, and the money isn’t bad.

So, we’ll see what happens here.

Sorry for you brother ! But I’ve a friend who worked in a women dominant area and, usually men are hired and expected to do the most part of work. He was a chemist, and just give it up to become a project manager in an IT company, because he did the most hard work back in his engineer days, while in the end “they shared the success”. But when sometime went wrong, c~~~s f~~~ed his ass blaming him for everything.

I don’t want to rain on your parade, but your suspicions are undoubtedly correct.

If they can, c~~~s will always hire other c~~~s, regardless of ability or experience.

That’s why companies with c~~~ filled HR departments go bust.

Many years ago, HR managers at an engineering company that I used to visit fired most of the engineers and all of the apprentices.

Unsurprisingly, they went bust.

The very week that they shut the doors, they were still advertising for more admin c~~~s.

Best of luck May and keep submitting the resumes. The education jobs are out there, it just take an enormous amount of time to find them.

I will say that employment with the Education Sector is indeed stacked against the outside applicant. I would be happy to shop your resume around my neck of the woods per your wishes.

I assume that your skills properly aligned against the position responsibilities?

Sorry, but my guess is they plan to hire a woman but were doing their due diligence by interviewing a token male. The said, you’re probably dodging a bullet if the place is mostly women. Such ventures often fail, or at best barely survive. I work almost entirely with men in the military, and we have none of the drama, gossip, and BS I always saw when women were present. However it pans out, good luck to you brother!
