How do you think I should spend it?
I’m trying to decide between getting stocks, buying a bond, or just flat out saving it. What are some solid stocks to invest in, Oil doesn’t seem to be doing so well lately.
flat out saving it……….
stocks are overvalued.
MGTOW is not a movement, it is a way of life.
Hookers..and beer .even better. .buy a gun ! canned goods and ammo.. for real. I guess all of the above actually are a great “bang for the buck” !
If you’re solvent and won’t need it find the CD with the highest rate of return possible. Shop a couple of credit unions and banks to find the best possible one.
Bonds are a waste since 2008, or maybe even before. If you want to have fun with it and see what you can make it into you could always play penny stocks and see how well or badly you do.
Ultimately, it’s not a huge sum of money right now even though you should never scoff at a windfall.
$avers input of put it in savings is the safest long term.
I was originally going to say metals or an AK, but I temper that with where you posted this. Silver is currently at a low, but it will never lose all of its value and the AK because unless you shoot the hell out of it likewise retains a real world value in addition to trade value. If it was just a little more I might have said AR instead.
I failed to realize in my youth that I was the prize. I was going to work. I was going to earn. Little did I realize that due to feminism, that no longer meant I had to share. Road soon, Desert after.
I think my esteemed colleagues covered it pretty well. I was going to say blowjobs.
The markets are all a crapshoot right now.
If you have any debts, I would put it there.
Saving is never a bad idea, though there’s no interest gain anymore. If you don’t just spend it it’s nice to have a little cushion.
If you look around you might find a little boat with a 10-horse motor for 500 bucks.
You could take a road trip.
You could buy a guitar and become the next rock sensation.
You could donate it to the Wounded Warriors Project.
You could donate it to the Theronius Relief Fund.
If you just keep it you can have hours of fun imagining the things you could spend it on, and smiling about how you aren’t wasting it on bitches."I am is reportedly the shortest sentence in the English language. Could it be that I do is the longest sentence?" - George Carlin
The problem with stocks is that you have to pay for the transaction ($9 for me), so you’re already behind when investing a smaller amount like that (although other options exist). While I’m in the pro-market minority around here, the market is bad juju right now. I only buy dividend paying stocks which are mostly down this year, so any advice I give would probably only be a bigger pain in the ass tax wise then they’re worth.
Do you have an emergency fund? Like bad s~~~ happened and I need cash to iron it out? If not, consider sitting on some of it. I’d still buy $100 in Canadian Silver Maple Leaves though.

Agree. It kind of sucks throwing 500 dollars in when you have to pay a broker to buy and sell…its going to put you down 1.5-2% just to get in, and double it to get out if its not money you plan to leave in there for a long time. If it is money you want to leave invested for a long time you are probably best off starting some sort of IRA or using that money for living expenses and bumping up your 401k contributions for a few weeks.
Stocks though, the only thing I’d really recommend buying right now would be energy stocks, since the sector as a hole has been getting pummeled for the last year and a half. Watch out for those oil stocks that only cost a couple bucks a share, a lot of those companies are going to end up going under, but I think big utility companies aren’t a terrible bet right now and they tend to pay pretty solid dividends and a lot of them have been hovering around the lowest points they’ve been in a couple years…even if they dip a little more you can just collect dividends and wait for the turn around.
The other thing I’ve been buying is mid streams….basically pipeline companies that transport oil and gas. They might feel a little squeeze in the next year or two from low oil/gas prices and interest rates rising but ultimately I think if oil/gas stay cheap for a while, people will start using more, and these companies will end up in decent shape down the road.
Its a gamble though…who the hell knows where things are going to be 5, 10, or 50 years down the road from now, and if you want to gamble on where things are going to be next week might as well just do yourself a favor and go to the nearest casino, at least you won’t have to pay a broker a transaction fee every time you want to buy or sell.
Buy a piece of gold.

Anonymous0How do you make a small fortune in the stock market?
Answer: Start with a large one.
Buy gold. 10 years from now it will still retain its value.Slow horses and fast women! Just kidding, the bank sounds good. Keep adding to the account until you understand the investment universe well enough to invest wisely.
BTW, income producing real estate works for me.
