I do not get the logic behind child support

Now, I do not have children, as I was always afraid of CS and being legally required to pay for their medical insurance and college (in NY it’s law). It would be nice, but it seems the costs are just too great. A friend of mine is going through a long divorce. Has a lot of real estate and is worth a tidy sum. One kid is 14 the other is 16. They both work earning around 200k each. Yet, he has to pay 25% of his gross income for child support. Where is her 25% of her gross income? That’s automatically assumed that the mother will pay that amount of money to raise the kids?

Where in the world does it cost 50k – 100k a year to raise a kid? Add on another 100k + for college per kid. Add on another 400 + a month for health insurance. Oh, it seems the wife also wants him to have a 3 million life insurance policy (1 million for each). The law is supposed to be logical. How is this logical and just?

I do not get it. What am I missing.

As a man, rarely do you get it. Usually, you have to pay it. It doesn’t have to make sense. The gubmint says you pay, so you pay. Or go to jail. Or both, like I have.

Very true. I was a stay at home dad when the ex left last year. I’m still unemployed and don’t have to pay her a penny. The second I find a job, my wages will be garnished massively.

I have been paying child support for almost 18 years now. I’m coming up on my freedom. Here is what I’m currently going through.

My son now has a job and I just spent money to buy him a car. Personally I don’t mind helping his mom out because she is on disability. But now I’m at the point where I’m sending money to pay for things he personally needs… But she’s asking for money to cover her household bills.I cannot afford to support two households. Her bills and her kids are her husband’s responsibility. My kid is just about grown.

These courts though will rape you over the coals no matter how well you get along with your ex.

It’s brutal.

The worst thing about the UK is the fact that women are paid quintuple when they have a child. Not only do they get child support from the father, they’re also paid a hefty sum from the government, in the form of “child benefit” and “child tax credits”. If the child is under five, she is paid “income support” and doesn’t have to look for work. And if she lives in rented property, her rent will be paid.

The rules apply to men too, but it’s mostly women that benefit.

It adds up to a lot of money.

Nowhere! That money is not for the kids but a payout to the women for allowing you access to her uterus. I know men who still pay child support to a mother who makes double their salary. The problem with Child Support is it isn’t Child Support. It’s alimony by another name. So, let’s say the Judge tells me I have to pay X for child support. My child should have 2X worth of stuff. Meaning she’s paying the exact same to the child as I am. How many kids grow up to adulthood and don’t even have X worth of assets when living in a divorced home? It’s a sham and a scam. If I am paying for the kid’s food, that means she shouldn’t get one morsel of the food. If I am paying for the home, she shouldn’t be able to live there.

I’m going to be honest, if for whatever reason I get caught in the system about child support, I’m going to play a game of “catch me if you can”. I’ll set aside funding for the child to be given to them when they head out on their own, but I will not let any of my finances fall into the hands of some woman who is looking for a payday. That’s all it is.

I just saw a documentary called “Broken Eggs”. It’s about retirement. One of the women in this documentary is a Divorcee complaining here salary isn’t enough and her child support isn’t enough. What the hell? The child support is for the child, not to feed your ugly face. Of course she was complaining she wasn’t going to make enough to retire. I hate to say this, but life is full of choices. She made several bad choices. One, she got an arts degree. Two, she works in arts. Three, she obviously couldn’t keep a man. Four, never invested. Five, lives well above her means. That’s just scratching the surface. No one is responsible for your finances, but you. I betcha a dollar she’d have invested more into her husband when they were together to avoid her new found independent lifestyle. Disgraceful.

Why can’t the father pay those bills directly without giving those funds to the female host of the child? Locking up a dude because he cannot or will not pay child support is a bit redundant.. No? Increases the costs to the tax payer and the female host still doesn’t receive the funds.

I think I am sterile anyway. I must of came in my ex-wife’s hole 50 times, she couldn’t get pregnant. Nonetheless, I always use thick condoms and pullout prior to ejaculating into the condom.

It’s absolutely scary having kids these days. I am considering just renting a female host’s womb and then there is no mother. I just feel that without a mother, perhaps the child would be missing something in their life. You don’t get the logic behind CS because it has nothing to do with supporting children. This is all about asset stripping and reducing you to a resource to utilize. Once you understand that, the rest falls into place.

If you think it is scary having kids these days, then why the hell have them anyways ? The legal footing for what you are trying to do ranges from shaky to non-existent in many places. If prenups are not holding up, then this is just putting you at risk of getting sued and abused. That isn’t semen, that is a wad of blank checks, so treat it that way !

Men who become breeders get screwed one way or another. Unless you got far more money than common sense, just forget about having kids. You will be saving yourself tons of misery.
