I’ve had a tough week because I’ve been plagued mentally by the fact that I have not applied to as many jobs as I think I should have. The number doesn’t matter. It’s the fact that I think that I came in short of my goal. I try to do all the right things in other areas of my life and manage o.k., but it’s always a struggle. It’s been almost a year now since my ex-wife and I split, and still I find I’m struggling. I make a daily effort to eat well, exercise, socialize, etc. still… I have a mediation session coming up soon and I’m not looking forward to that. The bank has phoned continuously and is now threatening to take it up a notch. I don’t care, take the s~~~, I can’t have it in the end most likely anyhow, bloody family court. So, being without a job, and all these f~~~ers just waiting to suck the financial life out of me if I do land a job, so discouraging. So, I keep looking for something I think I can stay in. I want to find a job I will WANT to work in. I’m going to be poor for years anyway so may as well be doing something I can tolerate. I tell myself, I have to see myself doing the job for at least 5 years, or then I feel like I’ll come to hate it one way or another. Damned, looks like this posting turned into another one of my rants. Oh well.

Having decided after coming to these forums to embrace the NFG approach while GMOW, I find I’ve become pickier at choosing a job I could be a fit for.

I’ve been putting off going for my daily run too. I should go do that now. Even if I don’t try to run it well, I’ll still feel better once I can log it as done.

Same here. I quit my job as a mining engineer, after my blue pill days, and now am following my passion. I am not gonna f~~~ around with my time doing meaningless cookie cutter BS work any more. F~~~ that! Life is way too short to be a slave.

ALL men who want to live a blue pill life HAVE to submit to the system and do ANY job to please the missus. In this scenario there is almost no freedom of choice. You do what comes ASAP.

I would rather do work that pays less but gives more freedom and something that I like to do.

As the poem says, “If you are going to try GO ALL THE WAY”.

    Reach that goal brother!

Pray to God that he will show you your purpose and mission in life. If you’re not religious and have no idea what he’s like, pray to him not as you imagine him, but as he knows himself to be. Then you can’t go wrong.
