Thanks for your perspectives. As some of you point out, the short discomfort of having the procedure done is more than likely worth it in the long run. Although I do not under any circumstances want to get married, have children or even live with a woman, I still enjoy them for short time fun. Usually I do protect myself, but I have been naive and stupid (and Incredible lucky!!!) on a few occasions in the past. My luck may run out in the future so I honestly believe I am better off getting it done.

I hear where you’re coming from, bro. However, I think just avoiding women and sex is easier than a vasectomy. You like sex, what guy doesn’t? But hey, the cheapest solution is to just not f~~~ with women at all. Granted , in this day and age, you never know what kind of tricks a woman will do to put a lock and chain on you.

Then again, with the way things are going and the way the law seems to be going, you don’t even need to have a child to be financially enslaved by a woman. In some places, co habitating with women is like a common law marriage, even if you have no kids. A vasectomy is a good layer of protection, but soon that might not be the impervious shield that it always was.

Yeah, I did that just over three months ago. The reactions on her face were pure gold. First a dumb look on her face followed by rage after realizing she got caught out lying and then despair of knowing her free meal ticket for the rest of her life got away from her. F~~~ing priceless.

I have been sterile since 2006. I have a daughter and don’t want more children. I love my daughter but dont want more kids, cant afford more kids, and my wife could not haldle them.

I feel getting a vasectomy was the single best decision of my life.

It cost me $25 and I was sore one day. The worst part was the nurse was cute. The md told me to flush out the remaining sperm.

Not just got away from her. She honestly believes you stole her meal ticket away from her by having a vasectomy years before you ever met her. And then defrauded her by not telling her about it while she was out getting pregnant by another man. It used to be that a man had to have written permission from his wife to get a vasectomy. It was enforced by the urologist. Doesn’t it seem that this would indicate that free flowing sperm is seen by society as men’s poison for making so much of it and placing vigorously in the nearest sperm reseptical feminist c~~~ caurusel riders? It was only when certified by the wife that she would no longer have use of his sperm that he was allowed the vasectomy.

I scheduled a time to get in and talk about the big snip, but I was told that my wife would need to join me or sign a consent form.
The doctors office said that this consent form is for legal reasons, and takes them out of any issues that might come from the snip.
Has anyone else ran into this before?
UPDATE : I have called and spoke to my doctors office, asking for a referral to a different urologist and explained to my doctor the consent from i was told my wife would have to sign. The doctor listened, and I got the impression this is not the first time this issue has come to her attention, and told me no problem they would get one to me shortly.
I then asked if they would refer women to an OB-GYN if the women were required to have their husbands fill out a consent form for their birth control. She said more then likely they would not, and that it was a very good point.
When I called the urologist office to cancel, the woman there asked why I was canceling the appointment. I explained my opinion on their consent from and she replied with, ‘That is fine’. Again getting the impression I am not the first person to have an issue with this.
At this point I am waiting to hear from the local University hospital for a consult.

Vasectomy at 42 after meeting crazy new girlfriend who was a three year wild ride but required a vasectomy for my mental health. The thought of having to live with her for 18 years in my life…I ran to get my vas.
