It depends on the job. If they are looking for a mangina, you are fresh out of luck.

Find a job that suits you and then just be yourself. You will get the job every time.

I’ve been in a few interviews where I wanted to nail the interviewer. Especially knowing she was a piece of s~~~ ‘human resources’ drone who was deciding if I was worthy of that s~~~ty job or not.

No secret. Just don’t bulls~~~ people, know your stuff, and do your research on the company. I can tell you that getting a job is like winning a popularity contest. They say they go by qualifications, but if they just don’t like you it is over.

Thank you for keeping me in your thoughts Jan.

it really depends on the job, the industry, the company, and the interviewer. You need to do a lot of research to do well at job interviews. In general, the more personable you are, the better. Introverts tend not to do as well.

I’ve had an interview where I pretty much debated the best bars in the area with the manager, and got the job. Sometimes there’s no need to blab on about your experiences if the resume speaks for itself.
