I’ve just watched the story about the Steve Avery case and it left me with mix emotions about the cops and the legal system.
There were testimonies there of different lawyers saying that once you are convicted, no one in the legal system will be really keen to admit they are wrong and revert that decision.

To those of you who don’t know the story, Steve Avery was falsely accused of sexual assault and was imprisoned for 18 years for that, even though some other guy did it, a guy who even admitted 10 years later for doing so, but the legal system ignored his admission.
Avery was eventually released after DNA examinations improved greatly and it was found, that a pubic hair from the scene belonged to no other than the guy who admitted the crime, 8 years earlier and only then he was out.

Now… if you follow the events on that trial, you’ll be amazed how corrupt the system is, prosecution hiding evidence, judges ignore testimonies of people who say that Avery was with them close to the time of the crime, yet when the legal system wants to f~~~ you over, it will commit actual crimes to do so.

2 years after he was out, Steve Avery was charged with murder, now I don’t know about that case, but I wouldn’t be surprised if people planted evidence in his house, because he was aiming to sue the police department and the county for 32 Million Dollars.

what’s your opinion on the case? how corrupt is the system?

All is needed for you to have to prove your innocence in front of a jury is someone’s say-so, anyone, preferably a woeman or a child coerced by a couple of individuals in position of authority.
There are countless “for non profit” organisations that represent weemins and children under the rubric Victims, populated by vanitous, holier-than-thou self-serving bluepilled f~~~s and feminists ready to jump on any and all occasions to cook up likely stories to give prosecutors the tools to charge anyone with a crime, preferably a man.
Once you’re charged, the reality you thought you were living in doesn’t matter anymore, you just enter the judicial twilight zone and Lord only knows what can happen, lawyer or not.
There are literally hundreds of such cases, including the one I faced where even the judge finally wouldn’t go along with the charade they called proceedings that aimed to paint me as a sexual abuser of children on a say-so after their “victim” couldn’t go through with a lie that was going to destroy a man’s life.
I told the judge I rather do the 30yrs than sign a piece of paper that said I had done anything untoward.

what’s your opinion on the case? how corrupt is the system?

It is possible that Mr.Avery went to settle some old scores. 18yrs is a pill not easily swallowed.
But his seeking damages could also very well be the cause of the new charges.
    Would the cops do that?!
    No… never

The thing that troubles is how easy it is to frame an innocent person, surely, it’s plausible that he did the first crime – but as you said, 18 years in jail, for a crime he didn’t commit, might have made him a murderer and a monster.

What bothers me most about this case, why those responsible for it, don’t sit in jail for at least a year, and can still keep their pension plans.. what happened there is not an honest mistake, it was an actual crime against a human being, they knew he didn’t do it, they probably knew that there is a great Odd that Gregory Allen did it, yet they wheeled the legal system to jail Avery. The worst thing here, that Allen actually raped and assaulted another woman, while Avery was still in jail,

so coming from my perspective, the legal system did the following
    1. ruined Avery’s family
    2. if he actually murdered a woman after he got out, out of rage for what happened to him – they also created a murderer
    3. they are responsible for sexual assault of other women who were attacked, while the real perpetrator was loose

Those people casued pain and destruction to human lives, therefore, they should be held accountable, so the legal system knows it’s not above the law.

That makes too much sense and therefore isn’t legally viable.
They prefer to jail the victims on false charges that way they can pretend Justice is served.

    Ha ha!
It’s only a masquerade, my friend, a charade and a farce. An illusion to fool the deluded masses into believing that their lives matter in some kind of way to those who rule over them while world events and hurriedly-passed legislations prove the opposite.

My advice is to not put yourself in such a position where you can be accused of anything by anyone.

I don’t see why cops would be motivated to frame him. Would the settlement have come out of their pension fund or something? I say time served should go towards the murder sentence. 18 years for sexual assault is excessive. Women don’t even get 18 months. And that’s for murder.

I bathe in the tears of single moms.

Don’t know why cops judge themselves by conviction rates instead of real police work.
Recent police parked in private drive gave one of my brothers a speeding ticket. 5 over, which is within the margin of error of the devices used. At least in state it is illegal for cops to sit on private property to set up speed traps. 250 for 5 over. How do you fight that? +/- 5 is also in the margin of error of your car/truck. Legal rep is going to cost more then the fine. On top of that small town the odds of a win are about as close to zero as you can get.

Cops are dicks, I never had any problem with the law, still, whenever a cop approaches me to ask something or to check if I am drunk while driving, one always treats me as if I’m some kind of low life criminal – even though I’m a decent and respected member in my community.

I think they just get a boner from all that power showoff

Steven Avery was featured in a netflix documentary “making a murder”. The case is very interesting and shows that in the law enforcement and judicial communities, once a person is convicted, innocent or not, it is difficult to win appeals. The series explores all aspects of steven’s life and his fight for freedom. It is definately worth the watch.

Exonerated after spending nearly two decades in prison for a crime he did not commit, Steven Avery filed suit against Manitowoc County, Wis., and several individuals involved with his arrest. Shortly after, however, Avery found himself behind bars again, this time accused of the murder of 25-year-old photographer Teresa Halbach. She was last seen on Avery’s property, where she was to photograph a vehicle. Avery and nephew Brendan Dassey were tried and (spoiler alert) convicted of the crime. But that’s not the end of the story. When Columbia graduate students Laura Ricciardi and Moira Demos read about Avery, they felt his story would make an interesting documentary.Neither PBS nor HBO were interested, but Netflix took on their concept to produce the 10-episode docuseries, which generated plenty of publicity and prompted petitions to have Avery’s case reviewed, though officials in Wisconsin insist all the evidence is not presented in the program.

    Dumbest statement ever.

Only a sith deals in absolutes.

Are you absolutely sure of that?

Women want everything, but want responsibility and accountability for nothing.
