How does this website fit into the whole of MGTOW

I’m assuming that MGTOW is a global phenomenon and this website is just one of several or many such websites.
I’ve got several questions:
Who came up with the term MGTOW?
What year was the term MGTOW invented?
Did the MGTOW logo come from this website?
Did all of those MGTOW videos on youtube come from this website?
Is this the main, largest, or the first MGTOW website?

MGTOW.com is not the first website dealing with the idea.
It is my favourite nevertheless.
MGTOW is a rather new term, first mentioned February 27th, 2011 by Kay Hymowitz in the article “why are men so angry?” (kindly correct me, if I’m wrong).
Which logo are you refering to? The black and yellow streetsign inspired one? there are a whole lot out there, this specific one, I came across on this site first.
The videos are from multiple sources, they do not all originate from this site, but who is getting into the ideas, will sooner or later stumble across this page, too. So I’ll consider it highly probable, your favourite you-tuber is reading along.

Hope this answers a few questions, I’m still rather new to the manosphere myself, so any MGTOW-veteran is welcome to correct me.

It is the brain of it. The headquarters of the central nervous system. The data bank of information, science, and men’s experiences with women.

If I recall correctly there actually was an original “MGTOW manifesto”, but the creator was pro-marriage or some such s~~~. Basically MGTOW has shaped itself into something completely different than what was originally intended.

The Youtube MGTOW community is separated from the forum one, if that makes sense. A few video producers do write in forums, and people like Barbarossa run their own websites, but overall there is little crossover.

I do believe this is the biggest, most active MGTOW site out there. I used to write in other forums, but now I mainly stick to lurking this one since it generates the most content.

There are similar movements in other countries, in Brazil, there is REAL, which is almost the same, but, as people are younger, there are several “how to catch women and f~~~ single mons easily” things, so besides having a good MGTOW gold there, there are those parasites who make anyone look like a PUA.

As I always say, to make a study to proof that AWALT, we just have to collect data here and write it down, we have enough to prove it scientifically !

But as stated, maybe only now, MGTOW have a name, but since always, wise men realized that bulls~~~ that is society expectations, and said a big NO to them !

Online, it was about 2005/2006 when it first appeared as a blip on the google radar and the earliest blog-style writings online are dated around then. Actual MGTOW philosophy and concept is centuries older.

In reality, MGTOW organically created itself a LONG time ago, in fact, here is a newspaper clipping from 1853 using the phrases “men going their own way”… because that’s what they were considered.

And here in 1922 we see it exactly called “men going their own way”.

“MGTOW” is acronym and can’t be pronounced like a word ( like “Pepsi” ) but until recently it was generally pronounced like a string of letters “EM-JEE-TEE-OH-DOUBLE-YOU”. The “mig-tow” thing is kinda corny in my opinion. I still call it “EM-JEE-TEE-OH-DOUBLE-YOU” or “men going their own way”.

No. We have not even begin to create our own exclusive series yet, but we have a channel with 4 trailers on it which you can see in our channels section.

Our channel is at the bottom with the retro 70s yellow TV icon.

Main and largest, yes. We are “the dot com”. But not the first. Rob Fedders of NoMa’am blog was probably the first and we contacted him in 2010 when this website was still just an “idea”. He gave us his full blessing to carry the torch and encouraged anyone to do the same. He withdrew from the community and felt “his work was done”.

In 2013 and early 2014, mgtow.com was a cheesy looking, outdated, static, non-member-based website with 5 pages on it, 3 youtube videos, and some links to men’s rights stuff. At that time the old MGTOWforums was the biggest & most active entity online but it closed, and about 3 months later, we acquired mgtow.com from an unknown source and opened 2014.04.06 officially.

The cultural perception of MGTOW was vastly understated, under fire and ridicule by feminists et al. and they even flipped their lids and tried to “bully” us out of it in a way. Many have tried to damage our sandcastle here, but the winds and waters have curiously calmed down.

About 15 months ago, we saw it really take off and renovated our member system to handle many more thousands of members. Since we are busy on other projects this is not our full-time venture yet and every minute here is adding and building until the site is what we originally intended it to be.

If you keep doing what you've always done... you're gonna keep getting what you always got.

Thanks. That’s exactly what I needed to help me get my head around this thing. The more I learn, and that’s every day on here, the bigger and wider the MGTOW scope appears. Damn impressive! It’s the real deal. You guys have done very well. I’m proud to be just a small part of this community and I sincerely thank everybody that’s helped me with my various issues since I’ve been here. It’s a great support group for me as well as entertainment and education.

Thrilled to hear it and enormous thank you back to you and everyone. The members deserve the credit, for the cultural awakening has been fast and furious. Tre-MEN-dous.

I just watched a video of Mark Dice obliterating Audi’s feminist SuperBowl commercial and you wouldn’t have seen that kind of thing even a few short years ago. They aren’t getting away with it anymore.

^^ I saw that vid too. A few days ago, I had never heard of Mark Dice. Now, I subscribe to his channel. Mark is almost as good a speaker as Milo.

Another thing about this site…you guys don’t get all petty and p~~~y about spelling and grammar. A LOT of sites would have some assholes always pointing out mistakes, like using “their” instead of “they’re” and s~~~ like that. I think we’re all aware that it’s just a website forum here, not a masters thesis or doctorate dissertation and pussy f~~~s are not really encouraged to hang around here.
