House GOP leaders plan to bring a Democratic measure calling for the abolishment of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to the House floor, hoping to force Democrats into a difficult vote.

The Democratic bill, introduced Thursday, would create a commission to examine ICE’s responsibilities and then recommend transferring them to other agencies.

Republicans see the growing “abolish ICE” movement as a political winner that will make at least some Democrats running in swing districts uncomfortable.

Fantastic – let’s see how many Democrats can make complete asses out of themselves! The American public does not support their position.

We just don't realize life's most significant events while they're happening. Back then, I thought, "Well, there'll be other days". I didn't realize that that was the only day. - "Moonlight" Graham

Yea. Someone should give the democrats whom thought this up a thank you card from the republicans. The democrats just gave republicans politicians an easy bill to vote against that the republican politicians can campaign that they voted against the bill to protect the U.S. population.

That’s right. They should treat the leftist idiots just like women, and IGNORE them.

Bringing it to a vote legitimizes the premise of the left’s argument — that something is inherently wrong with ICE and protecting our borders. Giving this argument the least amount of attention simply empowers it. Ignore their lunacy and treat them like children.

It is a strategic move by allowing the vote to take place everyone will be able to see who is against ICE and immigration laws and become more informed as to who to vote for. People in the United States value borders and immigration so those who vote for the bill will only be shooting themselves in the foot when it comes time for re-election.

The people that will be running against those who vote for abolishing ICE will have ammunition and we know from past experience it will be mostly Democrats who will make a fool of themselves and vote for the bill. So let them vote so that everyone can see how stupid they really are.
