If I had a lot of money, I’d do what this guy did. I’d have a room in my house with displays of Hot Wheels cars. I wish I still had some of the cars from my childhood. They’d probably be worth hundreds of dollars.

I got roughly 500 Hoteheels cars I bought firstly for my step son then my son.

I have to resist temptation to buy more when I go to the mall.

    I was a deprived kid.

Made me laugh when he talks about the most valuable hotwheels – he has one of two remaining pink VW busses that he says was the first (only?) attempt to cater to girls – There aren’t any left because boys would get them and smash them with their hammers. Would that be you back in the day MGtower?

Deprivation builds character, Doc. You are in no need of character!

    Love you brother! You’re awesome!

I was always partial to Johnny Lightning, maybe that’s why I have an AMC AMX and not a Chevy 409!

Going back just over 10 years or so An ex girlfriend had a son. He was a cracking kid and loved his cars.

He took an interest in Highway 35 and the Accleracers series.

So I ended up buying him the complete collection.

The Highway 35 cars were the best in my view. They came in a proper carry case and had a number of rare editions.

It cost my $300 back in 2006 — 2007. I have never looked at what they might be worth today.

The kid is late teens now and we talk now and again. I always said that he can do what he likes with the cars but maybe sell them to get money for his first real car.

Personally I would be happier if he just kept them.

But they are his and he can do what he chooses with them.

Some excellent pieces of artwork there Tower.

I love most of the cars made in The US during the 30s 40s 50s 60s and very early 70s. What an era for automotive design. So what if many cars were either unsafe or unreliable. The artwork is outstanding.

Each decade had its own unique style.

Did you know the Auburn and many other cars of that era were wood skeletons wrapped in sheet metal? I think MG TD and TF was one of the last wood frame cars.

Yes Tower. In fact the Morgan also used ash frames. I think they still do with some of their cars.

I have 2 of the Datsun pickups they refer to. One orange one red.

I have 3 of that Studebaker pickup. One in red like thenoic plus a yellow one and blue one.

I have 4 of the small Datsun sedans. White, a yellow, a bronze like the pic and another colour that I can’t remember off the top of my head.

I also have that GTR skyline. White like the picture plus a black one.

Man I know how to live.

I wouldnt even dare trieing to ride it.

When your at the light..Youve only got one foot on the ground. When you make your left turn, you grab second gear. So now your one handed on the bars!!!
Its not like ridein todays bikes.
