I’m sure it’s just as bad here in America. They would NEVER admit it. We are currently in another housing bubble. They would NEVER admit that either. The next crash we get will make the last one look like a walk in the park. Fasten your seatbelts gentleman.

The original wording was not, “The pursuit of happiness”, but “the pursuit of property.”
Unfortunately, due to property tax, you no longer own your property, you rent it from the gov’t even though you paid $$ and thought you bought it.
Just try not paying that property tax, to see who really owns it.

Not saying that this is the situation for everyone, but for me, the cost of ownership is far less than the cost of renting. Am prepared if the market plummets, but at least I’ll have a roof over my head.

We just don't realize life's most significant events while they're happening. Back then, I thought, "Well, there'll be other days". I didn't realize that that was the only day. - "Moonlight" Graham

My property is under CEASE AND DESIST and seized by law, however, I have filed claims of ADVERSE POSSESSION among other claims and counter claims in prior legal attacks, This all stems from corruption a half century long and ongoing. I’ve staked my claims and I’m not budging! I don’t pay taxes and never shall again! I’ve been ordered to CEASE AND DESIST!

TAKE. ME. TO. COURT! Or leave me alone here under the filthy corrupt carpet of dirty filthy corruption. Or pay One Hundred Million Dollars for comprehensive and irreversible damages!

Holding legal guns to citizens heads has been the only function of government around here for more than 44 years! NOW PULL THE F~~~ING TRIGGER OR GET THE F~~~ OUT!

    NO TRESPASSING!

CLOSED FOR ALL PURPOSES PUBLIC AND PRIVATE!

    KEEP OUT!

That’s the same as what in the UK is called Council Tax.

They tried to bring in the Poll Tax but there was protest and huge police brutality and the eventual riot as a result in 1990 then they brought in council tax.

As the woman in eeh video says our disgusting media lied and edited footage.

We are having a similar problem here in USA, but to a lesser extent. The problem being that the average cost of a house has grown while average yearly income has not. The cost of housing has been going up since the 1970’s, but the yearly income has stayed the same.

It sounds like the UK and Canada are worse than USA at the moment. Thanks to Globalism though, we can expect the same bulls~~~ to be pushed all across the western world.

I should also add that Baby Boomers are laughing at Millenials and calling us “Failure to Launch,” but the truth is their income vs cost of living was much better in the 1960’s and 1970’s. A home back then cost about 1.5 times your yearly income. Entry level jobs paid more and a high school education was all you needed for said jobs.

Its not “Failure to Launch” its “Nowhere to Land.” Gen. X was the first Generation that would have a lower standard of living than their parents and that trend is getting worse every year.

Real wages have not gone up since 1980s.

If you only get a 2% raise at work you are working for less money/purchasing power than last year

This is an interesting global phenomenon. It has many factors that all seem to be converging to create a housing problem.

    – Interest rates ridiculously low increases potential borrowing amount
    – Ease of investment in rental properties and REITs at highs
    – Construction of new homes hasn’t recovered to pre-2008 levels leaving low supply
    – Real wages stagnant in most areas

    These lead to the following:

    1) It’s easier than ever for the wealthy to buy and rent property out.
    2) It’s harder than ever for middle and lower classes to find an affordable home.

I’m probably missing other factors too, but the bottom line is that when demand outpaces supply, prices rise.

If you find a way to decrease demand… we’ll see a change. I think it’s going to come in the form of a stock crash. To cover margins and protect wealth, people will remove their funds from REITs (and other investments) and the demand for property will dissolve back to what would be considered normal.

"I've been thinking about what it would be like if we got back together."
"You know it's too late for that."

——–The regulations that go into building add a lot to the over all price. Depending on where you are at, NYC or Cal. Some places only union labor which cost a hell of a lot more. All of which put housing out of reach for a lot of people.

In the UK, house ownership has fallen for two reasons.

    (1) Property is overvalued. This stems mainly from the Thatcher government letting the banks off the leash.

    (2) Spineless, whinging snowflakes who expect a top of the range house immediately. They don’t want to save or to revovate as this will interfere with their partying and placard-waving days out.

    http://uk.businessinsider.com/tiny-225k-kensington-flat-used-to-be-cupboard-london-hogarth-ian-architects-2017-11

The flats just keep getting smaller and smaller. I read an interview with former NYC mayor, Bloomberg. He was very proud of reducing the average apartment size. London was the model, he was copying.

    225,000 for a 125sqft cupboard. That is a rate of 1800 per sqft. Unbelievable…
