So, today I realized that if you can talk to an older man who’s been there and done that, and you listen without judging, you can end up with a pretty awesome contact. So many older men have been ravished in family court, had their children ripped from them, who cannot respect them. They’re hurting deeply and they know society blames them somehow for being less-men. Since they couldn’t keep a marriage, somehow she saw some weakness in him and just had to get a divorce. He doesn’t understand why all this is so. He’s hurting inside.

Instead, affirm him, point out that a lot of people go through that and they get hurt too, that it’s unfair, and women are unfair. They really need this.

My best friend and I who want to own a business together have spoken to TWO older men within a week timespan that BOTH ran businesses of their own, and were both only working after retirement age to avoid the women they were married to.  They also said DON’T let the women involved in your life get involved with your small business and it’s almost ultimately better NOT to get married because of the reasons you listed.

It’s amazing.
