Literally the best cheese, sausage and mustard around. It’s my favorite. Downside is that it’s expensive for what it is. I missed those old days when they were in all the malls (select malls now) and the day after Christmas, I and a friend would go and take advantage of the 60% off deals. I bought like $400 worth in large (now smaller) gift boxes and I was set until April. Those old large gift boxes had a lot of variety of meats, cheeses and mustards and strawberry candy and crackers and melt away mints.

I miss the Hickory Farms of 10 years ago. Now the boxes are smaller, cost more and there’s less locations and less variety.

As you can tell lately from my posts, I’m more of a carnivore than herbivore. I love meats!

That’s why I used to buy boxes of it after Christmas, because it is over priced and like 50% off after Christmas. I don’t know if it has any preservatives.

Hickory farms makes good stuff but terribly over priced. You are wise to wait for the price reduction.

Yes all of their meat products contain nitrates and other chemical preservatives. Sorry. I have two slaughter houses within three miles of where I live so I can get really nice sausage etc. very fresh and reasonably priced with little or no preservatives. I am nibbling on a Summer sausage right now and it is delicious.

You can order Hickory Farms products on their site year round. It’s just around the Christmas holiday season is when you can find them in the stores or in the malls. Other than that, it’s year round, but online.
