Excellent. The forums main index page is still slow.. but clicking around on a topics and replies is WAY better I think too. Thank you for the comment! I was delighted to see it made a difference, but I wanted to know if users experienced it too.

These things are being coded better to be more efficient and the clone site (for development) is vastly faster already. Exactly the same database as this one (clone snapshot from yesterday morning).

As soon as we can, we’ll open it up for member previews. Probably 1-2 weeks.

Glad your well after being sick, I copped a bad dose the last 2 winters, first I’d ever experienced of pneumonia type illness, but it had me on my ass for months.

I’m more aware this year and easing my way into the cold snap that hit down under a little early this year back in May.

I was sick with that as well. The doctor told me it was a new strain and I would be down 14 days.

I scoffed and said that couldn’t happen. 2 weeks later I was still recovering.

That’s not what I’m getting, the home page is the link I use to get here, sometimes it would hold me there before responding to my forums page request, now it pops right out with only minimal delay.

The real difference may show up on pages with allot of video, they always loaded slow and stalled on new page link requests.

I think the new cam and electronic distributor you put in has improved the performance, Now we’re running 12s’ in the 1/4 mile!
