Hey Grumpy, if this is about me, aka Joe Bauers, no worries man, I get it. I am just some dude who grew up in a very odd set of circumstances that have brought me to where I am today, physically and mentally… I am no liberal though in the typical sense, I am a Libertarian. This leaves me in the unfortunate position of p~~~ing everyone off half of the time no matter what I say as I am socially liberal and fiscally conservative when it comes to politics, and very much against war in other people’s lands. These beliefs come from the recognition of the value of the idea of Sovereignty, not only in demanding mine at every turn, but pointing out when it is being forcefully taken from others as well. This added together with my unique upbringing, which I will never detail here, gave me insight as well as neutrality in regards to the world that most people do not have. And here I am now, middle aged, kicked around, and now I have no f~~~s left to give and just say what I feel, staying true to myself. Add this all up and I am bound to p~~~ people off. I get it. I don’t do it on purpose, I only do it to give my point of view as I value myself enough to think it is worthy of being heard.

Robert Graves would be a scholar to emulate. For centuries we didn’t understand that the Greek myths were early helenic historical records. His two-piece condensed Greek Myths should be a staple of every desk that has a dictionary and thesaurus.

Intelligent people draw from wisdom through the ages, wherever they can get it, regardless of the source. Stupid people make up reasons why they’re better than other people and can’t learn anything.

Most of our earlier writing is Ancient Greek, just because of how fragmented and poorly preserved some of the stuff before that was, which we can’t find too much of. The Bible is probably one of the few well preserved items from the earliest eras, so that’s a great starting point. Then the Greek stuff. And then Roman.

And then you need to read Ancient Chinese, and Ancient Indian stuff. People fall off around here and just don’t understand. They just figure Greek, and then jump to today, and then wonder why they are so limited in knowledge.

Europe goes to the Dark Ages around then, and the best stuff to read from that time is Islamic stuff. Arab/Ottoman, they carried most of the knowledge from the older era and bridged to the current times. They then collapsed to where they are now, and you can go back to French, British and now ultimately American, although there’s a lot that’s not good and hasn’t been vetted through time because it’s still very recent.

I try to read everything. I try to study the greats, yes from Alexander to Scipio to Caesar to Louis to Muhammad to Washington to Teddy to JFK. Not really much after JFK. Nothing really after JFK, maybe The Kingfish from Lousiana, Howard Hughes I think he was.

Get as much knowledge as possible out of the greats before you, and then be your own person. You might not be as great, but you will then be in a good spot and give yourself room to make mistakes that other people don’t have.

Funny thing is, the topic of women has been written about by many great men, and they all seem to sound like MGTOW.

Once again, I understand. The guy who forces you to look in the mirror the most is likely the one who is going to be p~~~ing you off the most as well, I got no problem being that guy. If I did detail my past in depth you would understand how I became this person, but I can’t go there, also, it would take to long to explain it all, I would need to write a book really. Anyhow, living in my rabid blue state that I like to call Zombieland it is nice to have a place like this where Keymaster and others let us all lay it down on the table like men, as it should be.
