I’d like to think that too to be optimistic but I doubt it. The police said they initially went to his house to do a welfare check but most likely they were coming to arrest him or evict him from his residence since she filed.
They have bloodhounds out sniffing for him and so far nothing.

If he was a business owner, then he knows how to watch out for these things. So they come to arrest him. And he knows they are coming. Boy would it not be Amazing to find out if it was the SHERIFFS that came to do the Welfare check with Paper in hand or an order to pick him up for a “WELFARE CHECK”.. 🙂

That means that he has money. It would be easy for him to plan his escape getaway. Put all his money he had stashed away in another business account, and hide it from his wife.

Its amazing what you can do if you work in the business world. You know what is out there to destroy you. I think a man today would know how to plan for that. And without him at the Helm? It is ALL going to fall apart. 🙂 Leaving her with all the Bills. Having to sell her home, and divorce him just to protect her assets that she still does have.

Once that happens? The Divorce becomes final? He can as a 3rd part come in and get back or rebuild it all. Ad there will be a hole in the market. Or he can start over again far away. Change his name, and just go on all over again.

The best part is? He lives with a SMILE on his face. SHE gets to hope that some other man is going to take the bills. Problem is? Now she is going to be in the Limelight, and men that get together with these women don’t like the SPotlight.

So she may just get a very raw deal.

Regarding taking the family business. Unlikely –

News reports stated that he ‘took over’ his family’s business five years ago.

Wealthy family’s that have income generating assets and businesses also have attorneys. And protect what is theirs. The family business would be wrapped up in a complex but totally S Corporation (for asset protection and tax purposes) and intertwined into a trust. Thus, by default preventing having any of it lost if/when a family member that as news reports stated ‘took over’ gets divorced.

However:

In the event of a divorce, the amount of child support and alimony that he would have to pay would be based on his income. And a guy that has taken over a family business would likely get rolled through child support and alimony in addition to losing personal (non-family) assets such as a house and other assets.

And dont jump to conclusions on what happened –

He might have been stealing money from the business and hiding financials related to the family business. And he had obligations to other family members related to the business. And may have killed himself.

But based on where his body was found it suggests foul play. He might have had a gambling or drug problem that he kept hidden and could not pay his debts and was killed.

Or he might have been having an affair with a married woman and her husband found out.

There are numerous possibilities.
