I need some help and I’m hoping someone here has knowledge about phones. I do not.

I have a Samsung S6 Edge. I bought it about a year and a half ago. A couple days ago when I plugged in to charge, it would charge and then not charge, off and on depending how I moved the cable. It got worse and then it didn’t charge at all. I tried different cables (2) and I tried connecting it to my laptop but my laptop wouldn’t even recognize it. I’ve been having trouble with usb ports on my laptop so that may or may not matter. I googled the problem and found that if I turn off the device i can charge it but not with my regular charger. Regular charger won’t charge it at all. However, the charger I’m using goes really slow and gets it to a max of 30% if i’m lucky. I tried charging with my power bank and nothing. There was no update that I can recall. When I take it off the charger, the battery dies pretty quickly.

    Is it the charger?
    Is it the battery?
    Is it both?
    Any info you need?
    Any tests I can run?
Anything I can do to fix it, like a reset or something?
