Hello, i figured i would post this so people could get a feel of what sort of person I am. I was raised by a single mother who was abusive both physically and mentally (my father was also abusive hence why it was just my mother raising me). I had my first Red Pill moment when my mother in her fit of rage just after my 17 birthday started guilt me into pitying her because in just a years time she wouldn’t be able to get support from the government and child support from my father. I brought this up to her and she flipped the s~~~. Well i decided that f~~~ that and left her and moved in with my older sister and her husband (thank god they took me in i’m eternally grateful to them both) this was because i had been suffering from depression cause by her and i was done i couldn’t put up with her s~~~ any longer (my little brother also moved out at this time because i suggested he should and he knew that she was bat s~~~ crazy). That was all about two years ago now. I recently discovered MGTOW and it reaffirmed my beliefs that i had come to have, it also gave me some insight from people who had experienced the some of the worst things that could happen to people. I have read different forums and i have even read allot of the topics on this forum (because i like to read peoples opinions when i feel i have nothing to contribute to conversations) i have never really posted any thing because well i am much less experienced in these sort of fields (i’ve never had a girlfriend because it always seemed like to much effort) and as such have always felt that i wanted to watch, listen and read.

so to sum up all of that I am saying hi and thank you to everyone on this forum that posts there life experiences and wisdom for people like me to soak up and learn from your first hand experiences.

So hello and thank you everyone.

Fantastic intro and you are very welcome.

Us old farts on here have done our time … for … well … love crime I suppose. We illegally loved someone 😆

It is you that are the new lifeblood of mgtow. You are the future and probably the one’s who will be sorting this mess out.

We need you more than you need us.

    Get stuck in lad ☺

    single mother who was abusive

    recently discovered MGTOW

Just an observation but the two quoted statements above, I’ve been seeing a lot on MGTOW forms. I have no stats but I’d be willing to bet that more MGTOW’s come from single mothers. It would have to be, how could a man watch their Mother level the weapons of the state against their Father and not come to see it as “female nature”.

started guilt me into pitying her because in just a years time she wouldn’t be able to get support from the government and child support from my father

Apparently it’s your fault for aging and welcome to emotional manipulation 101. Just so you know where I stand on this. She ended up in the situation she did by her own choices. Don’t feel bad for her, learn from her mistakes and don’t repeat them.

Giving birth or being a mother does not change their natures.

I got the f~~~ out of mom’s house the second I turned 18, 30 now, you made the right choice, welcome!.

After a few days of reading, I agree that a significant amount of guys here came from single mothers.  Gynocentric therapists, which most of the male ones are, will tell us that we have some unresolved “mommy issues” (and in some cases it may be true).

It appears that the level of “trauma” we have been through, in our childhood, can vary widely.  But the common theme seems to boil down to “selfishness” on the mothers’ part.  When my parents divorced in my early teens, almost like clockwork my mother had a new boyfriend every year.  She clearly was looking for help paying the mortgage, because that seemed to be her only prerequisite for the men.  Luckily the few years of revolving men never resulted in them causing me suffering, so will give her some credit for that.  The only thing that kept me sane was giving these guys no respect, in fact the opposite because I had turned into such a thug I would have my friends come over drink all the boyfriends beer – I made it clear that I was the real “man of the house”.

Anyhow, it seems to be a common theme.  If I could find a non-wussy non-gynocentric male therapist (90% of them are brainwashed beta males), I would be interested in his opinion of the overall trend.

    Sovereignty above all else.

Thank you everyone for the warm welcome, about majority of MGTOW’s coming from single mothers is a very interesting and insightful piece of information so once again i’m thanking you all for your wisdom.
