Hi there everyone!
I’m a 24 year old med student right here in the US of A. I’m so glad I found a website that explores the idea of not conforming to the “born -> school -> married -> kids -> divorce” scheme! To be completely honest I was completely against marriage before I even heard of MGTOW because I had read about the horrible 50-50 split with alimony and that didn’t work for me , but reading some of the stories that I did (I spent two to three days just going through several of the Marriage & Divorce and Relations~~~s threads), I’m so glad that I didn’t fall into this trap. Thank YOU for making this website.
You’ll notice that my avatar is a world map- because that is what I want MY life to be about; I’m looking forward to traveling as much as possible and being free of any binding commitments once I graduate med school. It’s been a passion of mine to do work with the Peace Corps, Doctors without Borders, etc. But I’ve always been told that my job would be to raise a good family here at home….well….that didn’t sit well with me. I do also look forward to just exploring new countries and hiking- a backpacking trip through Europe is on my list!
Well, that’s enough about me- Looking forward to being a regular and active member on these forums!

Welcome man, have a great time here! 😀
It is a common failing of childhood to think that if one makes a hero out of a demon the demon will be satisfied.
Welcome! I’m glad you found us. One thing I’ve always admired about the profession of MD is you can go anywhere in the world, and the locals will find a way to take care of you in return for your much needed skills.
As for me, I’m totally all in for the ‘born’ part — you betcha!! I’m OK with school — it got me an indoor sit down job with good pay. The ‘marriage -> kids -> divorce’ bit, I totally reject. The cost / benefit analysis comes out on the side of single and childless every time.

Can we get this guy a cigar and a nice glass of bourban! He’s figured it out and at a young age. Congratulations and welcome to the resistance!

Anonymous42@oneforfreedom, if you ever find yourself doing triage in some disaster area, take the men first and leave the women for last in spite their injuries! Do it for the TEAM! Just kidding,,, Welcome to MGTOW!

Welcome, Oneforfreedom.
I enjoyed reading your introduction, and your pursuits are admirable sir.
We look forward to your many storied contributions, and to living vicariously through your explorations.
Cheers, man.
Welcome and sounds like you got a good plan!
The one and only thing I don’t like about traveling is airports (if needed).
Congratulations on your epiphany Oneforfreedom! You’ve saved yourself a lot of heart ache and traveling money not being in the retrospective position many of us are in. I’m also interested to hear stories of your travels on the forum, as I won’t be traveling far anytime soon.

Thank you for your kind words- Yes the portability of the profession is a major reason why I chose to go MD. The other reason of course is to be able to provide an important healthcare service to the underserved (which fits in well with Peace Corps and DWB).

Thank you! I’m sure there are MGTOW meet-ups right? First round on me.

Thank you! Haha there won’t be any women to rescue since they all abandoned the men when the disaster happened.

Thank you sir! The feeling is mutual.Welcome and sounds like you got a good plan! The one and only thing I don’t like about traveling is airports (if needed).
Thank you! I agree; airports are just….and actually, even flying can be a pain. I’m going to Spain for Christmas/New Years this year, and it’s going to be awesome except for the plane rides :P.

Thank you sir- I read the stories on this forum and I’m shocked at what so many men have gone through- I’m so glad that the MGTOW community is helping them get out of such horrible situations.
Once again, your welcome is very much appreciated! Cheers!
