Heard something amusing on the radio today

Hi guys

I’m writing this in a hurry because i might be stopped any minute. I’m at my sister’s office and have stolen a ten-minute break to post this. I was persuaded to come to her workplace to help out with a few menial tasks, because their staff are so far behind on their work, they need someone who’s not even an employeye to give them a chance to catch up. Sis is buying me breakfast and lunch so I said okay.

Anyway, I was busy doing some tedious chore when I heard a news announcement on the radio. NZ has declared a “nationwide sperm shortage”! Donations to sperm banks are now so low that women wanting a donation will face a waiting list of up to two years. Geeeee! I wonder why this is?

The woman reporting the newsflash said, “Men of our country, be heroes! A lot of females will be VERY grateful.”

Uh-huh. Nice to know that the men of my land are obviously waking up in some areas. Gotta go now – will check back in later 🙂

When I heard it I said to myself, “D’you think it could have anything to do with the cruelty involved…a man having to cough up extra cash for the next 18 years, while not even being allowed in the child’s life?” Suppose a lesbian couple wanted to have a baby. They’ve started all of these new theories about how they’re just as much the parents, even if not by blood. Well then, take care of your own damn kid as a “mum and dad” would. A mum and dad don’t get to wring some random stranger dry whenever they need financial help. Why should they?

So it was very gratifying to hear that homegrown men are finally saying no. They’re obviously catching on to what a farce this whole thing is.
