Mexico’s president-elect shuns guards, asks ‘people’ for protection

Mexican President-elect Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador left the country’s national palace on Tuesday in the front passenger seat of a white Volkswagen Jetta, swarmed by hundreds of jubilant supporters including one waving a live rooster.

There was not a bodyguard in sight.

Since claiming victory on Sunday, the leftist politician has promised transformative change for Mexico. That includes ambitious plans to stem the corruption and violence that have become the status quo, though Lopez Obrador has yet to provide details.

Lopez Obrador’s approach to security is one of the first signs of how he is breaking from the mold of the typical Mexican presidency.

The cartels have the man they want. The cartels are not gonna gun for him unless he steps off the reservation.

It’s very possible. This guy seems to be under the mistaken belief that he runs the country.

He has just put security guards out of work too with his stunt which I’m sure he’ll expect his other politicians to also follow.

Lots of power and money at stake here.

Another possibility is the gangs use a carpet bombing approach and take out a heap of his new guards while missing him completely.

Mexicans don’t seem that rebellious to me if they were they would have already fixed their country.

If some of them died they would p~~~ and moan and shut up again.

I have a friend in Mexico that lives in Leon whom i’ve known for many years, hes blue pill as hell and i managed to gather information of whats going on there and here’s what i can discern from the situation.

This new Presidente is clearly posturing, all presidents before him needed heavy Intel and security because the Cartels in mexico are no joke, they will kill you and your entire family with guns, Machetes, grenades and homemade bombs.

The fact hes openly saying that he’ll end corruption and cartel ownership while going around in a light vehicle with no security tells me he is “one of them”.

It’s all posturing to make the peasants that live in mexico feel safe and believe they have a “strong man” in their white house. This man is clearly a danger to everyone including Mexico’s own people, hes a socialist and we can bet mexico will descend to a 5th world country akin to Venezuela rather rapidly, he could’ve been planted by the powers that be to create another proxy crisis just like whats happening in Northern Africa and the Muslim problem invading most of Europe, they want that exact s~~~ right here in our doorstep.

Florida took in about 35k + refugees from Venezuela, right now in South and central America they are seen an influx of refugees, people basically fleeing Venezuelan Utopian socialism, if Mexico goes down the same path as Venezuela because of government greed and bad policing, we can see a MAJOR humanitarian crisis in our hands, we already have one but it could be much worse brothers No joke here.

I don’t know about that. I don’t know much about the guy. But here’s the thing. You want to stop crime? Most of it is NOT done by CARTELs themselves. it’s another entity.

The thing that is important is if he can make Mexico at least transparent. Then maybe he can show that some of those players in the game are from American Sources. For example the CIA connection.

If he can blame the US Dirty post leaders. Then he has a chance of forking over the blame from the Mexicans, to another boogeyman.

The other thing here is that, if he rolls around with no security, then it stems to say that this guy really is just another man trying to make the world a better place.

Sometimes you have to let things be. And let the market do what it does.

A stronger Mexico is better for Drug Lords anyways. They can make more money by selling to local markets and through South America.

In Mexico, its not hard NOT to p~~~ people off. Just be fair. Work with people, and have the PEOPLE be up for the slaughter. Not your government.

Besides, its really not hard to make Hispanic people happy. They are men and women that work with their hands. Love to build things. And LOVE family.

Emailed a friend in San Antonio about the current events. Anyone with any ranking in the cartels have moved their whole family(parents, grandparents, children cousins so on) into Mansions in places like SA, Austin, Corpus Christi. Taking advantage of the US safety. Lot of money flowing back out of Mexico into Southern Texas. The actual cartel member never shows up even for an overnight visit. From time to time the children go south to live with the cartel.
Creating an ultra rich sub class in and I would suspect all across the the border area.

Which leaves me with the question how much migration dose the cartel want into the US.
