WTF is going on with humanity. I remember for most of my life humanity has made some sort of sense. Now however rationality and reason seems to be non-existent. Everything is somehow based on feelings and the phrase “my truth” is a somehow an argument. The only thing I can relate any of this to is arguing with women. It’s pointless and there is no winning. The rules and facts always change.

The respect men had is gone. Not every man is Einstein, not every man is Hercules. But in the past men had a modicum of respect automatically for being men and putting food on the table and fighting the wars. Maybe throw in protecting the home and setting the mouse traps. Even an average worker got the basic respect. Now it’s the opposite, you start out not with respect but hostility. You start 3 steps behind, first you have to prove why women should not have contempt for you.

I could never take commercials seriously. They are made-up lies to sell you s~~~ at your expense. But the masses do, and pattern their lives after them, so that consumerism now has its own “culture,” its own way of living, encouraged and soon mandated by government.

The film “Network” comes to mind. An entire generation raised on a television-based sense of reality. Then they have kids, and the clusterf~~~ is doubled. Television reality becomes demanded.

I’ll go out on a limb and guess that in a country like the U.S. with shallow cultural roots, old forms such as basic respect for people go out the window real fast.

Sometimes I feel like we’re heading back to the dark ages. Some of you older blokes might not be around in the decades to come but as a 26 year old I will have to live through this generation and the next until near the end of this century and witness everything going to s~~~ bit by bit.

Seems to me like pretty much everyone is f~~~ing miserable these days. Only most people are too stupid to even ask themselves why, let alone pinpoint the source of the problem and try to solve it.

That’s why i dont give a f~~~ anymore. Its not like i can change anything anyway. I say let them all burn. I may be stuck in the fire with them, but at least my knowledge gives me some insulation.

I agree Brother. I’ve seen a big increase in people doing/saying anything and everything they can to try and “trigger” people in public. They must be some pretty miserable pieces of s~~~e imo.

I’d much rather bring someone up than bring them down. Doing the opposite makes myself a miserable bastard, but even then, no good deed goes unpunished as they say.
