I have heard men say this before, their assumption is “if I make her Happy I will therefore be happy.” The cruel irony is women are never happy (she always wants more), the husband will hence never be happy either , he will constantly be trying to figure out how to make her happy.

Anytime I hear the phrase I go the other way.

I once respectfully catered to women’s desires. I did this in hopes I could make them happy. The real truth is that women are very rarely happy. If a woman can’t find happiness herself, then how can I provide her that which she lacks? The answer is simple, I can’t.

All the men smiled and nodded in a defeated way, all the woman had the “Yup that’s right” look on their faces as they nodded.

I in particular hate this f~~~ing phrase. I used to live by it, and though still in my s~~~ hole marriage, I have departed from caring. It could now read “happy wife… is impossible”.

Mostly I live in a world when she is indifferent, then happy life.

But this should be a blue pill requirement, men who follow this should be forced to wear a button.

But the joy of it wears off on most women, eventually they find their happy life is an illusion. As they now have a slave and want a man.

Who knows, I’m no example to follow, that is for sure.

Funny thing about that phrase “Happy wife, Happy life” I remember someone saying that about a week before my wife decided to leave me, I heard it and didn’t think much about it. I gave her the happiest life I could so it never occurred to me. F~~~ that BS. Happy me=happy me.

I am a religious person and even i think that church has changed so drastically in recent generations that God wouldn’t even recognize it. The religion hasn’t changed, the people have changed. Many churches know that women are the majority in the audience, so they don’t want to alienate their base by speaking truth. And most importantly, they don’t wanna lose that money.

I don’t think people have left God, I believe they have just left the church. The Bible says where there is more than three, I shall be in the midst of them. So many people go to church nowadays and it is so deviated from what God truly wanted it to be. Some of the most gossip speaking, back talking people in the world are sitting in pews every Sunday, but their raising hell every other day of the week.

They don’t speak on the pressing issues facing the church because they don’t want to risk losing their 501c3 Status which allows to remain tax-exempt.

Great post, Venom! This has been my experience as well. I suspect not ONE of the people in the pews at Church actually believes what the Bible teaches about women, for example. All jokes and resentment to woman aside trying to derive happiness through life by trying to make someone else happy is the saddest thing you can do and will guarantee you a life of misery. You can’t control anyones emotions or actions and most woman are never truly happy for more than a span of 5 minutes.

Like Spirit said, you can’t make someone happy. Everyone is responsible for their own happiness. I prefer the similar saying, “If momma’s not happy, ain’t no one happy.” I always took that one to mean that a miserable woman will bring everyone around her down, which has certainly been my experience.

I literally just came across one of my coworkers who made a post with this stupid phrase. He posted a picture of his wife and kids standing in front of a brand new vehicle and that idiotic phrase was attached to it. Yes, she may be happy for the moment (if that’s even possible), but she’ll soon forget that beauty is parked in the driveway of the house you bought the next time you forget to put the toilet seat down. I see the look on the guys face every day. He looks torn down and beaten even though he puts on a great facade around his buddies. Sad!
