Since i’ve gone mgtow, I’ve had a healthy amount of money I can blow on, well, anything I want. I’ve always liked guns so I’ve been buying a few recently. Does anybody else like em? Or am I a lone mgtow amid a sea of tradcons at the shooting range.

I lost all my guns in a tragic boating accident. 🙁

Safety rules: All guns are loaded. All knives are sharp. All stoves are hot. All women are like that.

I am assuming you are in the US? Up here in Canada we can’t just buy a few guns when we feel like it but I would like to own a gun as sort of a “just in case” scenario. I really need to find somewhere up here where I can learn how to shoot first, I have a feeling we may need to know soon.

First learn how to use a firearm safely. Safety cannot be stressed enough on this matter. Treat all guns as if they are loaded. The moment you stop respecting a gun, is the moment someone is hurt or killed by that gun.

Keep guns out of the reach of small children. And make sure the older children know how dangerous a gun is. And that they have been taught proper gun safety.

Also, if you go with a semi-automatic, make sure someone teaches you how to properly hold a pistol when firing. If you are not careful, you could loss a thumb or a finger when the pistol is fired and the slide blows back.

Next, if you need a permit, first get one.

On pistols. Semi-automatics are considered the best balance in most situations. Better control and more ammo. The two types of ammo most semi-automatics use are the U.S. are 45 ACP and 9 mm. 45 has better stopping power (even if a full grown man has a kevlar vest the 45 bullet will still knock him onto the ground), while 9 mm guns can hold more ammo. The recoil on both types of ammo is not that bad.

Note, both the 45 ACP and 9mm will go through a flackjacket.

If you go with a 45 pistol, get one based on the 1911 semi-automatic pistols. If you go with the 9 mm go with the pistols based on the M9 Beretta design (civilian version if the 92F and 92FS Beretta)

When it comes to recoil, the lighter the pistol the more powerful the recoil. Don’t get a heavy gun. A gun with a medium weight, and grip that fits you hand is best.

Don’t think below the waist, and get something you think is manly, like a Desert Eagle. Everyone I talked to about those pistols complain how heavy those pistol models are.

Also, look into concealed weapons laws in your city and state. The reason for this is open carry can make you a target.

If you want to know more about firearms, check out this website: http://www.imfdb.org Between that website and wiki, most of the basic questions on guns can be answered.

    And good luck.

Get an S&W .44 MAG, it’ll blow the head if a moose! and ya really gotta hold the f~~~ing thing down! boom boom boom, and you’re on your ass! ya gotta go boom,,,,,,, boom,,,,,,,,,boom,,,,,,,, but my favorite is a Baretta 9, the spread is tight, and no way you’re gonna miss, and with extra clips you could hold off MS13 until some backup arrives.

I’m into them. My collection is bigger than some, smaller than others. Actually, my favorites are the smaller ones, especially .22. I just picked up a Bersa Thunder .22 that I’m very fond of. I have some big stuff too.

I’m very partial to the Browning 9mm. (commonly referred to as the “high powered”). I think I’m mostly partial to 9mm pistols because of training and familiarity. I do find the S&W .40 a sweet piece of kit though.
Ironically I also live in Canada and have no issues buying restricted and non restricted firearms, and i have a nice variety of firearms for specific purposes, enough to make me happy, yet not too much to draw attention 🙂
The only real issue I have is personally with some general restrictions that pencil pushers deigned as “gospel”

    i’ve had guns on my todo list for a very long time now;

issue is that i don’t have a place to work on them; i want to cast my own bullets and the whole 9 yards.

i suppose sometime next year for me.

You aren’t alone here brother. What are you into?

I hear you on the additional disposable income. I bought my self another one a month ago the first money it’s only money I’ve spent on myself in a year, the first on my own. The reason I’ve realized, I’m just not used to spending money on myself (for a luxury items), pretty sad huh? Saving like a mofo though.

I bought myself a new Daniel Defense M4V11. Last night I ordered 1,200 rounds of 62 grain M855, found it for a good price online. When I bought the rifle went with Eotech optics, haven’t bought the magnifier yet but soon. Always been a fan of pistols, I’m a Glock guy, have a few of them.

I try to go to the range with like minded individuals.

Enjoy your weapons and stay safe.

I wish I could get a gun. Our country does not allow guns 🙁

I’d like myself a UMP 45 or MP5. If we talk about semi automatic ones, the Desert Eagle will suit me.

But it is our ability to choose – whatever you think is true – that makes us human. There is no book or teacher to give you the answers, to show you the path. Choose your own way! Do not follow me, or anyone else."

I really love the .50 rifles, but would definitely love to legally make a .22 or 9mm minigun.

Ahhhh yes, the guns. There is a lifetime of study there. It really depends on what you want it for – plinking, competition shooting, home defense, making hole in cardboard at the range. Just study, learn, take lessons.

Am Canadian and I own guns!!!! You have to pass a safety course and get your “PAL” [Possession Acquisition License]. There after you can buy any long gun in any action except full auto. If you want to buy a handgun then you need to take a “Restricted Firearms” course.

The bitch of it all is all the fn red tape involved in simply wanting to go to the range and use your handgun. You have to literally inform law enforcement of your minute by minute schedule that day direct from your home to the range and back, and don’t think about stopping anywhere to pick up some milk!
