    Hello,

I’m schizoaffective and I’m a 30 year old webmaster from the United States. I chose my nickname, schizoaffective, because I suffer from schizoaffective disorder and have for the past 9 years. Overnight, I went from a straight-A clueless beta to a drop-out failure omega. I realized, first on a subconscious then a conscious level, that I lack utility and that I am, to paraphrase other MGTOW, worthless  in the sexual marketplace. As such, having overcome all the stages of grief, I have accepted my status and embraced a life of celibacy.

I can, in theory, find a relationship and I have in the past even after having been diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder. When I was about 25, I  lost about 50 pounds and used tricks I picked up from the PUA community to land a couple hotties. Having lost the weight, women were magically attracted to me and I knew how to push their buttons and get laid. I’ve since decided to go my own way due careful reflection of past relationships which were overwhelmingly miserable. I’ve grown so disgusted with women that I no longer even desire them sexually so celibacy is a cakewalk and not a challenge and I don’t even fap or watch porn and haven’t for many months.

Anyway, enough whining. I like water sports, basketball, running, tennis, lacrosse, swimming, fishing, kayaking, and all manner of sports and outdoor activity. I’m a programmer by trade and I enjoy my job. I’ve learned to put myself first and seek my own sense of fulfillment just for the sake of it. I’m glad to have finally found a community of like-minded individuals. I’ve been in a rut lately and I see MGTOW as the light at the end of the tunnel. I’m looking forward to being in an environment where men encourage each other to achieve their goals and ambitions – just for the sake of it, not to impress anybody else.

< Hey there schizoaffective man. Im brand new here myself and had never even heard of MGTOW up untill like last week. Myself, I was diagnosed as schizoaffective and bi-polar around 15 years ago. Sounds like you don’t let it get you down,
awesome attitude! I used to get girls pretty easily in my teens and twenties, now pushing 40 I have been celibate at
least a decade. I really don’t care about women too much these days, have had my share of crazy insane bitches like alot
of people here. ANyways, I related to your post (and nickname) and just wanted to say “hey.” Have a good one!

Welcome. I think you will find those terms more in the PUA community. Most men here do not give a s~~~ about sexual market value or the marketplace. Dropping out isn’t a failure unless you wanted to graduate. If so – go back to school. By the way, a man never lacks utility.

Hey @schizoaffective and @spatula. Welcome to MGTOW it’s great that you are both here.

There is some research which suggests that Sir Isaac Newton fellow MGTOW and one of the worlds greatest ever geniuses had Schizoaffective disorder so you are in awesome company!

Hey Schizo  some place where a man can strive for his inner desires and be encouraged… If its wealth or if you  are downsizing Like I am does not matter here…being happy and having a peaceful mental state has become more important than other pursuits as I get older…

Why should I worry? Society  has had 52 years to use and abuse my ass to death, but I am still here…I have been flush with cash and dead broke….Both are painless, its just being broke is more of an inconvenience than anything else…

Measure success with your own scale, emotional well-being is my choice…Welcome to MGTOW,  enjoy the forum..

I was bound to be misunderstood, and I laugh at those who misunderstand me. Kind mockery at the well intentioned, but unfettered cruelty towards those would be prison guards of my creative possibilities. This so as to learn as much from misunderstanding as from understanding. Taking pleasure in worthy opponents and making language fluid and flowing like a river yet pointed and precise as a dagger. Contradicts the socialistic purpose of language and makes for a wonderful linguistic dance, A verbal martial art with constant parries that hone the weapon that is the two edged sword of my mouth.

I heard a guy interviewed who treats schizophrenia with vitamin-B, and claims a rather high success rate. It turns out he wasn’t talking through his hat:

High-dose vitamin B6 decreases homocysteine serum levels in patients with schizophrenia and schizoaffective disorders: a preliminary study.
    http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17272965

He spoke of other supplements as well, such as omega-3 pills and vitamins plus minerals in general.

Worth investigating. Vitamins, etc, can’t hurt and just might help.

Instead of suggesting vitamins how about real food? People who eat plenty of fruits and vegetables get less diseases. There have been studies where vitamins can do harm in the long term. It maybe ok in the short term.

I agree with plenty of fruits and veggies, and I eat that way as well. For me, I take vitamins regularly but skip a few days now and then. I am in doubt as to the validity of those studies. Many of them are sponsored by outfits that want to make vitamins only available from MDs by prescription.

Thanks everyone for the warm response! I really was expecting a lukewarm response at best because, as @spatula probably knows, having a mental illness is probably the most stigmatized thing in the world. I cannot tell friends or even family about my mental illness.

@spatula, honestly it does get me down. I’ve lost jobs and failed out of school due to my disorder and its really saddening. Have you suffered loss due to your disorder? How do you cope with it?

@albert, I didn’t know people suspected Newton of having schizoaffective disorder. Frankly, I cannot believe that as it is a real hindrance to mental productivity and would have resulted in multiple psychotic episodes that would be written in the record. People want to believe that great and famous people suffered from their disorder and sometimes make stuff up to feel accepted and acceptable. The only great person I know who definitely had a schizo  disorder was John Nash, the pioneer of game theory as shown in the movie A Beautiful Mind.

@roydal and @CrazyCanuck, I’m aware of the studies on B-vitamins and schizoaffective. I tried many different alternative therapies during the “bargaining” phase of the grief process. Now, I’ve accepted that I need medication. I do take a few vitamins and supplements every day.

My view, with any situation that you aren’t winning at, is to recall this from the movie Wargames:

    The only way to win…

So, change the game, or play something different.

Hey, S. man, yeah I have definatley had alot of losses due to schizo stuff. Jobs, a s~~~load of them have been lost, often
times due to audio hallucinations that just would not stop and allow me to function. Relationships with friends
and girlfriends who just didn’t know how to deal with my symptoms. I also relate to not feeling any worth as far as sex
w/ women is concerned (pleasing them, etc.) That’s one of the reasons I like MGTOW , years ago I stopped seeking sexual
relationships with them and honestly I really don’t miss it. (sometimes I wanna try a call-girl or something though.. heh.)
    F~~~ pleasing them!! ANyways, thanks for replying. ;}
