Theodor Herzl. Born Benjamin Ze’ev Herzl, May 2, 1860 – July 3, 1904, Herzl was an Austro-Hungarian journalist, playwright, political activist, and writer. He formed the World Zionist Organization and promoted migration to Palestine in an effort to form the state of Israel.

Herzl lived his life on his own terms. He dreamed of a state for his people, and he pursued that dream with conviction.

He has some very valuable lessons for us about holding beliefs that go against fashionable propaganda, and the transition from thought to reality.
