When I first got here I kicked the doors open and came in swinging. Being here and having the opportunity to unload and work through some s~~~ has been like therapy. That, and listening to the advice of many here has helped as well. Still trying to detach a bit more in areas I know I should, but with still being able to talk about anything I care to. I guess it is hard to find that fine line between calm, detached logic, and fists of fury.

Looks like Mark’s idea is to be strategic about what to give a f~~~ about…

I am indifferent regarding females (I still have no particular interest in ALL their c~~~nanigans).

My Inaction (lack of action where some is expected or appropriate) also still stands. They can expect everything under the sun & moon from me til the cows come home, still don’t give a f~~~.

But, if one does something to earn a f~~~ from me, I may make an exception to the rule.

As for the badge of honor part…it reminds me to hold fast to whatever sanity/dignity/self respect I may still have left.

I think that what this guy writes is indeed good for self improvement. With his knowledge you will attract customers, start a successful business. Be a better man.

I disagree with the author too, about indifference.

Indifference IS possible in a situation where you really don’t have anything, important or otherwise, to give a f~~~ about…..and you don’t want to give away your f~~~s to less important things…. that is when you practice indifference.

As long as you are indifferent to issues that doesn’t directly affect you, its not cowardice.

For eg. in the example provided by the author… if I wasn’t getting any of that lost money, and my mother lost it because she was too stupid, of course I’m gonna be indifferent. Her worries does not affect me, and my opinion will be based on how much I am obligated to her, which is not very much.
