The irony is not the legitimacy of any media reports coming out of the UK are not in question as being UK government propaganda, or else those that made the reports in the UK would have been arrested.

This is likely done by the UK establishment as a way to kill the foreign support for Brexit.

Why don’t a bunch of people in the UK storm a police station, seize weapons, kill all the police, then attack Parliament?

I wouldn’t consider that radical; I would consider that a rational response to the attempted imposition of a police state.

Radical would be putting the British police in cages, and publicly burning them alive to serve as notice to the British politicians that they are next.
