For those brothers still going through the s~~~ storm and feel like there’s no hope.

    It DOES end.

It can take a while, and feel like it’s taking everything you got.

    BUT IT DOES END.

I found these words as a child and they hit me even from a very young age.

Every turn in my life and as I’ve gotten older the words ring even more TRUE.

It could almost have been written by a MGTOW.

“Go placidly amid the noise and the haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible, without surrender, be on good terms with all persons.

Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even to the dull and the ignorant; they too have their story.

Avoid loud and aggressive persons; they are vexatious to the spirit. If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain or bitter, for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.

Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. Keep interested in your own career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.

Exercise caution in your business affairs, for the world is full of trickery. But let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals, and everywhere life is full of heroism.

Be yourself. Especially, do not feign affection. Neither be cynical about love; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment it is as perennial as the grass.

Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth.

Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.

Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here.

And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should. Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be. And whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life, keep peace in your soul.

With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world.
Be cheerful. Strive to be happy.

It’s been a while since I heard Mass Media. 12 years since I cut the cable/satellite TV.

It’s so peaceful just like a fine 12 year old bourbon hitting your head, the abject voices and belittling images are almost gone.

I hear it’s getting worse by the day and that’s the whole reason I’m gone!

If you don’t let the Marxist propaganda and panic displacement into your head in the first place there’s no reason to ever clean it out!

I just love coming here and kicking the s~~~ out of it!

I have no connection to Cable or Satellite or over air TV.
I only watch DVD and Blu-ray because I could no longer stand the junk being fed, even the news with the crawlers and swirling backgrounds and thirty second stories, not worth it. Viewing is now mostly pre-1999 and going way back. Old films, classics, series, lots of sci-fi and the greatest are .. the concerts. Everything from rock to pop and classical. Most, better than anything being shown today and with no commercials and excellent fidelity. I could never go back .. ever.
Cutting the cable has done wonders for my peace of mind. With recorded media .. I have more than enough entertainment. Quality entertainment. Collection is now around 2500 commercially produced discs with many found at sales or auction over a decade; so it doesn’t really cost all that much to build decent library over extended period of time.
Why not just stream (or whatever it’s called) and just pay a monthly fee instead of several thousand dollars over the years to by them all. Because .. I don’t trust some up and coming hipster programming director of some online video source to keep the shows I want .. and really need into perpetuity. Some of my favorite shows are no longer listed online .. at least I can’t find them available at the sources I’ve searched. Some of the best concerts of all time from places like Wembley, Paris, LA .. and it goes on .. travelogues and rail journeys that aren;t even listed any longer from the producer of the original media. I have it .. although no longer see them listed anywhere. Some of the best sci-fi ever produced in the late 60’s and through the 80’s.
How long is that stuff going to be available if it falls out of favor with the paying masses?
To own it is to have it forever. That’s why I’m storing this stuff with care for the long haul. This is why I choose to buy instead of rent. A little more work .. a lot less worry and stress, overall.
