    summer is full on,
the evening cools off the end of the day.
    this is it.
    the perfect gin and tonic.
the elderflower adds an amazing extra dimension..
i tweaked it with a TINY bit of roses sweetened lime ..

    ..

    cold and incredibly delicious..
    ..
    just do it.

Gin tastes like pine trees to me! Only good for lighting fires and defrosting your windshield!

I’m with Tower–can’t stand Gin. And why would anyone drink gin when there is bourbon available?

alone gin is medicinal in taste.
i believe the British made it in India,
    to ward off malaria…
but with the elderflower and lime..
    and the hint of basil…
    ICE COLD…
    amazing..

    ,,,

make a non alcohol version with this syrup,
    lime,and tonic..a small basil leaf…
    should be pretty damn good…
    maybe seltzer instead of tonic.
    tonic has quinine ..
    medicinal tasting as well.
    .
    hell..
put some of that syrup on a scoop of vanilla ice cream..
    .
my goal here is to spread the word about the elderflower..
    new to me..
    it’s crazy good !

Thanks for the recipe and I will pass it along to those whom have the taste for gin.

Lost my taste for it in ’82

No prejudices with me about gin or any other liquor except maybe Sambucca, which I never really acquired a taste for. I am keen to try this version of the gin and tonic as that drink has saved me on many a hot summer evening sleeping on the sailboat.

I must also say that I am equally intrigued with the guy’s Ramones T-shirt. Way back in the 1970’s I caught the band playing in a small venue long before they were famous. Put on a pretty good show as I recall. Think I might of gotten laid that night afterwards : )

Bourbon raises your blood alcohol level to the point where the mosquitoes bite you—and die.

I love Gin and Tonics. I also love the aroma of Pine Trees. I will definitely enjoy trying this elderflower and lime with a hint of basil. Thanks for sharing!

I’ve been propagating (letting them live) eldreberry trees, with the intent of harvesting the berries for home made jam. there’s allot of food in the forest if you kill all the pine trees and let fruit bearing trees live. This place is teaming with creatures since the pine trees started falling off their stumps more than 20 years ago!

letting them live is absolutely the right thing to do !
i hope you make that jam tower..
    it will sell like hotcakes!
    top dollar for wild,
    organic,
    fair trade,
    local grown,
    zero footprint,
    handmade,
    elderflower jam.
    .
the potential for making $$$ from that is off the chart !
    .
    you make it,
i will take the ride up to buy it ..!!!
    ( MGTOW discount applies !)…!

i believe the British made it in India,

I’m not sure, if we Brits, invented it……However, I do know that here in England, Gin is sometimes called ‘Mothers Ruin’, though.

Apparently, Wimmin like it a lot!

I love G&T’s, but I like to keep my drinks as simple as possible. Gin-tonic-fresh lime-ice. That’s it.
