Sup Gents. Something I’ve been wanting to do for a while now is getting a Vasectomy. Don’t want kids, don’t want to get trapped and/or end up in some paternity fraud BS. Being 28, single and without kids I’ve heard Urologists are unlikely to perform the service because legal (and I guess Moral) reasons. So I’m wondering a few things:
1. Should I lie to the doctor and say I have kids?
2. If you’ve gotten one, what the procedure experience is like
3. Recovery and adverse effects

2- No big deal. I watched the whole procedure. Rested the weekend back at work on Monday.
3- On and off epididymitis pain for a few months then all good.

I have not gotten one, but I don’t have any interest in having sex with women so I am not worried about it. I think JVB’s advice is spot on if you are still trying to engage in sexual activity.

I got mine at 28 and I have no kids. Doc asked me three times if I’m sure. Told yes im sure. He went thru with it. Had it done on a Friday back to work Monday.

I’m surprised at how fast people respond here. I’ve been on forums before but not one this active. From all my Youtube/Wikipedia research it seems fairly inexpensive. I’ve seen them do the injection, which I assume is Novacane, that looks like it sucked. But they have the no incision vasectomies now, which is the one I’m considering. Might be a bit pricey, but you can’t put a price on freedom!

Don’t know who you’ve “heard” this from, but the reversal of a vasectomy costs around $3-6K without any guarantees. I’ve never “heard” of a MD willing to turn down that kind of a payday.

I’ll keep that in mind lol. I scheduled my consultation today. I have about a month to decide this is what I want. I know its reverse-able, Solo MAN’S Wisdom said it’s like $3-6K, I didn’t realize it would be THAT expensive, but then I’ve also read that after 3 years it basically shuts down sperm production for good so I have to get comfortable with the fact that this is forever. I’m 5000% sure I don’t want to have a kid with a woman, but I should consider surrogacy. Otherwise it’s adoption or nothing.
